When does your client crash ? Right as you start bootstrap ?
What other plugins are you running and what makes you think bootstrap specifically is at fault ?

Hiya,
I've also encountered client crashes when Bootstrap is loaded.
I will try to isolate the problem by running Bootstrap without any other Plugins and then add them one at a time.
I'll be back with more info when tests are done.
Over and Out,
Ubbe

It's working fine here after updating, could you describe the issue you're having ? Error messages etc.

I've seen you posted a thread on the subject also, and that Garan offered a reply, so I'm not going to reiterate what he said.
First thing you should do is find out whether or not those plugins are recognized by Turbine's system, independently of Bootstrap. "/plugins list" will list all plugins that the game can see, if Tonic Bars and Daily Tasks don't show there, you've got a problem with the way things are installed, and should refer to replies in that thread.

unable to find other plugins
hi
trying manager and bootstrap for first time
i was able to get bootstrap loaded appropriately
in my document/lord of the rings/Plugins using window xp machine
then i've loaded tonic and daily task plugins in my documents/lord of the rings/Plugins
but i can't get them up in bootstrap
ive tried /plugins refresh and only the pre loaded plugins like vitals are listed
what am i doing wrong?
the plugins are supposed to be a subset of /Plugins correct or do they actually go under the bootstrap file??
thanks

I also would like to thank you for putting together such a nice manager. You have put in a great deal of effort into it and it shows. Well done.

Thanks matzig
Version 1.4 is up:
- Lifted limitations of previous versions. All commands can now be run from the menu (Valdacil: you should be able to toggle BusyBee now). That also includes default Lotro commands (emotes etc), although I haven't added an option to add a command to the menu independently of a plugin (I will on request, I just don't feel like it's useful right now).
- The menu now has icons for easier identification of plugins, as well as for making it prettier and similar to Turbine's own menu. Plugin authors can set which icon they want Bootstrap to display in their plugins (more on that later after I get some sleep). Failing that, Bootstrap will display an icon I thought was appropriate, either from in game resources or from the plugin's own resources (hopefully I didn't overlook any original icon made by authors for their plugins). If the plugin is unknown to bootstrap, it will display a "ring" icon by default.
- Bootstrap should now come up with a suitable 'default' command when adding just about any existing plugin to the menu (or at least for plugins listed on Lotro Interface at the time of uploading v1.4).

I put off using this because I already had a manager.
Boy, I am sorry I waited. This plugin manager does EXACTLY what I wished it would... the menu is awesome for all those plugins that don't have a gui or a button... wow... can't say thank you enough for this.
GREAT JOB!!

I noticed that BusyBee doesn't allow any configuration options on the Menu. I would like to able able to /busybee toggle, but only option is launch. Is this something that can be fixed from Bootstrap, or does it have to be fixed in BusyBee?
|
It's one of those plugins that use their own separate space and are essentially invisible to Bootstrap. Now you have a few options here:
1) Wait for the next release of Bootstrap that will use yet another 'trick' to run commands on such plugins from the menu.
2) Make BusyBee run in the default environment. You can do so by opening the file "BusyBee.plugin" and deleting the line : "<Configuration Apartment="BusyBee"></Configuration>". Make a backup first and be aware that this may cause conflicts with other plugins. If so, you can revert to the backup.
3) The author of BusyBee *might* be able to make the plugin perfectly safe to run in the default environment, but given the reason it's not is because of issues on the Turbine side of things, I'd say, leave him alone

Re: got 2 errors
Quote:
hi,
thx for this plugin
with version 1.3 i got 2 errors (german client)
.. the Rings Online\Plugins\Equendil\PluginMng\App.lua:859: bad argument #1 to 'ipairs' (table expected, got nil)
.. Rings Online\Plugins\Equendil\UI\VirtualListBox.lua:63: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'itemHeight' (a nil value)
as workaround i copied the files from version 1.2 (app.lua and virtuallistbox.lua) to the plugin folder and the plugin is working again
and again thx for this very useful plugin
|
Ah thanks, my QA team messed up ! Sorry about that. Should be fixed in 1.3b. Second error was from replacing app.lua with an older version.
