Description
This plugin provides details on all the travel locations in the game except for some boats. For each location you can list all the destinations with costs and travel restrictions. It can also find the best route between any two stable locations and factor in Milestone/Return/Guide/Muster skills, even providing a clickable icon for the skill when it provides the best route.

Basic chat commands:
/tr zones (list known zones with stables)
/tr <zone name> (list stables in the zone)
/tr <location name> (list location details with destinations)
/tr <coordinates> (list nearest stable)
/tr ? (list possible command arguments)
/tr rt (list unlearned Return to locations and requirements)
/tr gm (list unlearned Guide/Muster locations and requirements)
/tr ms (list the current milestone settings)
/tr? (list possible commands)
/trf <name> (find stable that includes <name> string)
/trr (display Recruiter stables)
/trv (display Not Visited stables)
/trv <location name> (toggles Not Visited flag)
/trw (open the Travel Locations window)
/trw req (open the Travel Requirements window)
/trw td (open the Travel Discounts window)
/trw rt (open the Return to skills window)
/trw ht (open theHouse Travel window)
/trw gm (open the Guide/Muster akilla window for hunters/wardens)

With the travel window, an optimal route can be found between any two connected locations. For complete details, be sure to check the ReadMe file.

NOTICE: When installing for the first time, be sure to follow the instructions in the ReadMe file to avoid problems.

After considering the benefits, I've decided that it is more useful to have all my plugins in the same apartment so that the open window action works as before. You'll also need the latest version of VinnyLoader.

I finally got the Lyndelby stable location on my main character and have corrected the settings for that location. I also decided to change the name of Akraz-zahar to Akraz-zahar(I) to indicate that this location is in an instance as I've done for other such locations.

If you change them all to Vinny, it will work as it used to.

I'm doing less testing lately as I'm mostly done with changes for a while, so I may change them all back to how it was. Another option is to write a script that will automatically set them the same when doing releases, but I'm still evaluating how to proceed.

Thanks Vinny. I find that VinnyLoader Plugin lists CA as 'Vinny' and Travel Ref as 'TravelRef'.

I should edit them to be the same?

Exclamation Version 2.29 (Lotro update 33)

After many hours of riding back and forth across the Shire and Yondershire, I finally have it all updated. Yondershire adds 6 new stable locations and the Shire stables have been updated with swift travel between most locations. Connections to Duillond, Buckland, and Oatbarton have also been improved.

I've also added Haerondir as a destination so Return/Guide/Muster skills to that location can be found. The Beorning Return Home travel skill is now supported and I've added ToolTips for several fields to make them easier to understand.

Update delay

The servers are finally up with the new release, but I've got a lot of work to do. Not only is there a new zone with 6 new stable locations, but all the Shire locations have also been revised and swift travel routes have been added, fully connecting everything. So I have well over 100 routes to add and get travel times on. This will take some time.

Exclamation Version 2.28

This is a major update with significant changes. The biggest change is adding support for travel to houses and using homestead stable-managers in finding the best route. To support this, I've added a House Travel window to configure which of the 4 Travel to House abilities to use and to set the time it takes to travel from the selected house to the stable manager. This is configured for each character as they can be in different guilds or no guild.

I've also implemented the new common help facility with more detailed in-game help for plugin commands. Use of the Escape key now closes any plugin windows.

Finally, I've made numerous minor code improvements, fixed a few bugs and typos, and cleaned up the handling of recruiter stable master locations. In cases like Bree where they aren't near a regular stable, the location has been added with an "(R)" suffix.

Instant travel locations

I've been pondering about adding support for "instant travel" objects. These are usually displayed as a labeled horse or banner that when used will immediately take you to a destination at no cost. Some have restrictions on use.

I'd like some suggestions of how you'd like to have these appear in this plugin. If I receive an inspirational idea, it will be implemented sooner instead of later.

This is a major change to Trollshaws locations that adds 6 new stable locations and fully connects the existing locations. There are so many new connections to time that I've posted this update with placeholder times for several of the slow travel routes so that you can at least get all the new switch travel connections (I've used 999 sec=16:39 as a placeholder). I'll do another update when I finally get them all done.

There is also a new Return/Guide/Must to Tornhad skill that can be earned with reputation.

Lotro update 32

This was a major change to the Trollshaws region, adding 6 new stable locations and fully connecting the prior ones that only had minimal routes before, i.e., well over 100 new routes to add and do travel timing for. It also added a new Return/Guide/Muster location, so it will take me a couple more days to get it ready to release.

Here is a test to try. I would expect that you have the Guide to Bree skill and have Bree enabled in the "Guide to" window. If you set West Bree as your desired destination and then click on Set End, the Guide to Bree icon should appear in the icon slot. Clicking on it should activate the skill.

If you change the destination to Adso's Camp, after clicking Set End, the icon slot should clear, indicating no direct travel skill, but clicking Find Best Start should again display the skill for Bree and in the chat window add the step "West Bree -> Adso's Camp".

Does it work that way for you?

Ok now I see how to use it. I was Setting Start to whatever I wanted (normally the zone I was standing in), then selecting new Zone/Location and going right to Find Route, I expected it to give me choices based on what Guides I owned, thanks for clarifying that for me! I use your plugin daily it, and your others are all awesome!

I found a significant logic error in the Find Best Start calculations that has been producing poor results in certain situations. I still plan to make some minor tweaks, but this fix should stop illogical results. Everyone should install this update.

I also added a check to make sure there was an options file, which could cause an error if missing.

Finally, I added a small enhancement; when using the "/trf" command to find a stable location, if only one match is found, it will automatically set that location as the currently selected stable location. This should speed up the process of finding the desired travel skill.

Re: attempt to index global 'TR_Opt' (a nil value)

It looks like it doesn't check if there is an options file yet. I've added code to fix this and you can force its creation by setting the Auto-load option.
