I think this is pretty self explanatory.

Addons in LotRO don't "persist" between logons/logoffs..... so you'll need to reload them EVERY time....

This is why I STRONGLY encourage you to get the Plugin Manager (http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...nfo.php?id=379), and type the following in the chat box:
/shortcut 1 /plugins load manager

This will give you a button that you can click that will load the manager, which will then load all the plugins you wish to use =).

And before someone else mentions it: Tobii's still behaving erracticly, and certain item movement operations will desync it from what's really in the backpack.

This is a known issue, all backpack plugins are affected equally by this issue, Turbine knows about it, and I'm hoping that they can patch the part of the API causing this issue.

I'm preemptively mentioning this so if you encounter an inventory desync, you will need to unload Tobii and reload it.

The only way I've been doing this is by dumping all plugins from memory by:
/plugins unload
And then reloading Tobii (or, usually, everything) by:
/plugins load tobii
OR
Using the manager load button previously described.

And speaking of other plugins, a shout out to a few others I'm using and really like:
Tonic Bars - Create as many plugins in any shape and size you can imagine
http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...nfo.php?id=370
Palantir - Morale and power right in the middle of the screen, in an FPS inspired display.
http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...nfo.php?id=377
BuffBars - Takes the buffs/debuffs under your name, and puts them in a far easier to read format, with the option to ignore certain buffs you don't care about.

everytime i log off and log back on...the bags go back to default and I would have to load the plugin again. Is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening?

I had left a few Turbine.Shell.WriteLine's in TobiiWindow uncommented, so I commented the out, and reposted 2.0.1.

I felt the change wasn't big enough to warrant a change in version number.

I received an e-mail notification yesterday and today saying that tobii has been updated, but there was no version bump today. What (if anything) changed?

As it's coded now, it's possible for you to push some of the inventory spaces off of the bottom of Tobii...

I'll include a warning that turns a very large chunk of the bottom of Tobii red when some of the inventory spaces flow off the bottom.

2.0.1 is released, in spite of the current issues with the Turbine API.

I'm hopeful that a new year will bring a (hopefully soon) update by Turbine that will get all of the inventory plugins working correctly again =)

Re: Hmm

Hey, big fan of the plugin. However, I've noticed the same thing that you have about all the backpack plugins. You're the first one to really explain it though; which is appreciated.

Has Turbine made any announcement about a solution in the forums? I haven't seen any in the Dev Tracker, but I may not recognize it either.
====================================

Thanks!

I've been watching the Lua forums, and I have not heard of any updates to the API either. In all honesty, I'm not terribly surprised either, because December's a slow month for many non-retail businesses.

I'm hoping for a small patch to the Lua API sometime in January, but I would not be surprised if the Lua API patch was delayed until the next content patch.

As far as Tobii in the new year.... I'll continue to work on it, and likely roll out an extremely polished version soon (I hope).

Hello!

I've been using Tobii and it is a great stuff. Rcently (after the Moira update) it doesn't loading. I get an error:
...Online\Plugins\Almagnus1\Tobii\TobiiWindow.lua: 18: attempt to call field 'LocalPlayer' (a table value)

If you need more info just tell me and I will try to get it.

Regards

Thank you, the complements are much appreciated

Status Update:
The 2.0.0 release is almost ready to go.... however.... It's still broken.

The primary issue affecting Tobii (and all of the inventory plugins I've tested - FilterBag, OneBigBag, and TheOneBag) are errors within the Turbine LotRO Lua API that's preventing Tobii from functioning correctly.

There's two problems with the current Turbine API:
1) Stuff isn't being triggered when it should. I can work around this with a brute force (and possibly heavy memory usage) work around except....
2) The state of the backpack that I get from the Turbine API isn't correct. If there's no way for me to get a correct inventory in memory, there's no way for me to resync what the user is seeing with what's in memory, because I have no "correct" version to work from. This one's the deal breaker, without access to something that's right 100% of the time, there's no way for me to correctly validate what the users are seeing. This makes me a sad panda =(

I can release Tobii 2.0.0, however, the same issues plaguing 1.0.1 will still be present in 2.0.0.

I absolutely loved Tobii, very sad that it's not working at the moment. I really hope you manage to get it fixed! Thanks for all your hard work
