Ahh. I understand.

You try to match the skillicons with the effecticons.
I dont know why but Turbine uses different icons for the skill and for the effect, done by the skill. I cannot do anything against this, because I use the effects with their icons.

I think you should write a bug report in lotro. Maybe they fix it.

For your reference, my minstrel's quickslots are below. You will notice that the images for the anthems (in red) are different than the images in the plugin (blue). My minstrel is lvl 75, not in a stance when the screenshot was taken.

thanks for your feedback.

Your first suggestion is a little bit complicated. Turbine provides a control to display buffs, which I use. Turbine provides another control to display (and use) skills. I would have to display this control over (the z-order) the buffcontrol and hide it, when the anthem is active. This would prevent a new activation while the anthem-effect is not gone but the cooldown is away. So the only way to do this is to place the skill under (south) the effect control. This you can even make happen with another skill-plugin like TonicBars (I use it, too).

Your second suggestion can be done by editing the file MinstrelEffects.lua, as you wrote. But beware. The grayed out-images are painted in the background-pictures, because turbine does not allow to display effect-images without having the effect. You have to edit the matching tga-file (f.e. with Paint.net), depending on your choosen theme (minstrel_buffbar_background_clear_fixed.tga or minstrel_buffbar_background_fixed.tga).
For a better solution (by configuration) I have to make some bigger code-changes. Maybe I will implement it after rohan.

Your third suggestion I do not understand. Maybe you should clarify what you mean.

wow, how did i just now find out about this plugin?! this is going to work wonders for me

requests:
1) let the Fixed Anthems be click-able quick slots. That way, I can click on the plugin to use my anthems
2) let the user (me) decide the order left-to-right of the Fixed Anthems. I've had my anthems in a certain order for a while now... seeing them in a different order takes some getting used to
3) Fixed Anthem icons look funky for Anthem of the Free Peoples and Anthem of Compassion.

Great plugin, really helps me keep my stuff in-order and efficient

EDIT: or, could I simply adjust the numbers 1-6 in the file: MinstrelEffects.lua ??

I found out, that it does not work when in combat.

I provided a fix and implemented the two themes from jocelynmallon (I thought I did this early but I forgot this).

I press F12 to take a screenshot.

All the UI elements goes away, but not Minstrelbuff.

Any chance this could be fixed?

Dein Problem scheint an einer korrupten Plugineinstellungsdatei zu liegen. Das kommt beispielsweise bei einem Clientcrash mal vor.
Du kannst die im Chat genannte Datei einfach löschen. Dann sollte es eigentlich wieder funktionieren. Allerdings sollte die aktuelle Version (1.5) ein fehlerhaftes Settingsfile automatisch erkennen und neu anlegen.
Bist Du dir sicher, daß Du die aktuelle Version hast?

it seems, that your plugin settings file is corrupt.
You can safely delete the settings file referred within the chat. Then it should work. The current version 1.5 should delete such files automatically and create a new one. Are you sure, that you got the newest version?

Hi,

I love this plugin, but for my own personal play style, I never manage to keep up more than 4 anthems.

So I made 2 new themes for myself, that show all 3 ballads, and 4 anthem windows, in two configurations, one for placement on lower-half of the screen, and one for upper half.

I don't know how this corrupt settings could happend but I saw some issues, when the lotro-client crashes. Maybe this could be the cause.

I changed some things within the loading process of the settings so that a corrupt settings file should be rewritten (with the standard-values). It should be do the same thing your fix provided (even with lesser code) :-)

I implemented your theme into the new version (I hope you allowed me this).

Your idea is great, but the plugin-structure of turbine currently does not provide information about the fellowship-effects caused by you. It could be solved with some tricks (remembering the effects and implementing an own timer). The current implementation of my minstrelbuff cannot do this, because the information about the timer comes from the active effect (which is not active, if you play the coda).
So maybe it could be implemented in a later update.

Good idea, but the same problem as with glonk's idea. Turbine does not provide informations about your cooldowns.

great little Plugin. I love it really much.

One thing I like to see in a future update:

It should always track the duration of my anthems when I'm grouped. I really like to heal trashmobs and skirmishes in Harmony. So I fire the coda every 5 sec. with an other anthem active. My fellows get the anthem bonus although I used the coda.
I would be really nice if the plugin would track the anthem duration on my fellows too. I hope it should be no problem to implement. Just grey out the anthem inactive on the minstrel (like in the fixed anthem setting) but keep the duration timer ticking.

I would really really love to see this. It will be the perfect minstrel helper for me and my buffing strategies, as I play with 5sec. cd and 35sec. anthem duration.

Thank you for this plugin. One feature I find really useful is that it also shows other minstrels' anthems if you are in the same FS and affected by it. Very helpful!
