Do you happen to have your windows locale set to something other than german?
Well I tried to change it to english but it didn't help. Really weird... This hapen since I got a new PC.. on the old one ther is no issue with this error.

I investigated that there has to be an issue with the comma's in the file BuffBarsSettings.plugindata. If I change the comma (",") to a point (".") in all the Lines where the error shows the line number then the Plugin works until i reload it. Probably this may help you also. I think this locale issue then causes the followup error where the plugin is not able to parse the file with those commas inside... just an assumption

Can't wait for the update

@Necro - Your file structure should look something like this:

Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\PengorosPlugins

All of the Buffbars folders and buffbars.plugin should be contained within the PengorosPlugins folder. If you unzipped them just straight into the Plugins folder then the client probably can't see them. It's my understanding that the current version is also very buggy with the new expansion but as the author mentioned an update should be available soonish.

Also, open the options (ctrl + o), click the Quickslots tab, and the very first option will allow you to lock your quickbars.

Hi,

I'm new to the game (5 days) and I really liked the look off this addon but I just can't get it to work. I've done the part were you make a new folder in the LotR one and called it plugins. Downloaded your addon and unziped it into the plugins folder but when I log the game all I get is -

/plugins load BuffBars = Unable to load "BuffBars"
or
/plugins list = Available Plugins (None)
Loaded Plugins (None)

This is the only addon I have in the plugins folder and I have the 1.2.0.zip

Oh, plus do you know of a way to lock my skills in the action bar?

Can you tell me what error you get when typing /plugins load BuffBars?

Also the output to this command might be helpful as well. /plugins list

I started to investigate.... deleted all plugins and tried to run only Buffbars. The conclusion is, that always for the first run the plugin works. You can configure and change the settings and place the bars where you want. Aplying the configuration and exit the game and on the next time I start the gamie again the error shows again.

I use a german LotrO client on a Windows 7 Ultimate (German or INternational). I'm relatively good in technical investigations on Software but honestly this goes far beyond what I know

I have the next version 90% ready. I'm just waiting on the updated documentation so that I can add the ability to see bars for fellowship member (de)buffs. I'm going to run it all day tomorrow while I level to see if it causes any crashes. I imagine a release will be out within a day or two of the docs being released.

As a workaround until then you can comment out lines 41, 44, and 47 of PengorosPlugins/Utils/CoolDownManager.lua. That should prevent any crashes. A comment in lua is -- like on line 38 of the same file. These file number correspond to the 1.2.0 version of buffbars.

Error with new installation on seccond start

Dear Developer

First of all Thank you for this plug in... it's the one everyone should use

Now to my issue.. Since I got a new PC i installed LotrO Client newly and added the plugins as usual. Starting LotrO Client and try to configure Buffbars result in a well running configuration. Stoping the client and starting the seccond time I receive the following error if I start the BuffBars Plugin.

.../PluginData/*****/******/***/BuffBarsSettings.plugindata:6: ']' expected near ','
...Online\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\Setting s.lua:67: Unable to parse file!

I started to investigate.... deleted all plugins and tried to run only Buffbars. The conclusion is, that always for the first run the plugin works. I would really appreciate if there is any solution for this. Do you have any support are where I can discuss?

Thank you in advance.

Does BuffBars show up in the list when you type /plugins list? What version does it say?

Re: Unable to load BuffBars

My results were the same with version 1.2.0. I messed and messed with it and finally got /plugins list to show BuffBars in the list, but it still wouldn't work. Opted to try version 1.17 and it worked first try.

Unable to load BuffBars

This looks an excellent plugin in, but I am unable to load in game.

I have downloaded the latest version, unzipped it to my Plugins Folder.

In game , with the UI locked, I typed in /plugins load BuffBars, but the message pops up, Unable to load BuffBars.

I've deleted the folder and tried again a few times, without any success.

Any suggestions please.

Incidentally, I have successfully installed other plugins.

Cheers !

1. Added a Trigger using a Template=Custom
2. Named the trigger Stun
3. Set the trigger to Effect
4. Set the category to Undefined
5. Flagged the effect to show when Present
6. Checked the Curable flag
7. Slotted the Vial of Aromatic Spirits to remove stun effect

However, I do not know what to put in the Search field. I have a sneaking suspicion that the freep spell or skill needs to be entered. I hope that is not the case (burglars, for instance, have at least 4 skills that can stun; prolly more).

Any guidance and/or advice would be helpful. Thanks.
You can enter into the search field a phrase that will be matched. For example if you put stun anything with stun in the name will match. You will have to do some experimenting to determine if these kind of effect fall under the undefined category and if they are curable. If you turn on logging you can get that information from the chat window.

I always start my plugins with Plugin Manager. I now changed to Bootstrap but still the same errror. The same shows up even if I just load buffbars without any startup manager. Hope you can help me.
Looking at the line number for the error I'd say you have an older version of BuffBars. I recommend getting the latest version (1.2.0) and trying that.
