Conditional (if...then...else...)
SequenceBars Special Slots Conditional (if...then...else...)

Conditional (if...then...else...)
This command is similar to the Conditional (if...then...) command, allowing you to specify a condition that will cause a set of slots to be shown in the bar. However, this command also allows you to specify an alternate set of slots that will be shown if the condition is false. This command consists of three slots:
  • The first slot looks like a left brace ({).
  • The second slot looks like a right brace followed by another left brace (}{).
  • The third slot looks like a right brace (}).

Any slot(s) placed within the first set of braces (slot 2 in the image below) will appear in the bar if the condition is true.

Any slot(s) placed within the second set of braces (slot 4 in the image below) will appear in the bar if the condition is false.

Options
When you select this command in the sequence editor, the following options will be shown:

Usage Notes
  • If you select the "Hide inactive branches" option for a bar, then the slots within the first set of braces will only be shown in the bar if the condition is true, and the slots within the second set of braces will only be shown in the bar if the condition is false.

  • For every left brace ({) there must be a corresponding right brace (}). If you delete only one of them, you will see an error message in the chat window. The "}{" icon is optional, but if present, it must appear between the "{" and "}" icons.

  • You can place as many slots as desired between the braces. You can even place other conditional commands there, to achieve nested conditionals.

  • If you have nested conditionals, it can be difficult to find the left brace ({) corresponding to a given right brace (}). To mitigate this, selecting any one of the brace icons in the sequence editor will highlight the other two.

  • If you specify "automatic" execution for a conditional, it will be evaluated immediately after the preceding slot in the sequence is clicked. Since most slots take some time to execute, you should not put an automatic conditional immediately after a slot that affects the condition.
