Quickslots on top of quickslots?

Hello,

I tried installing two custom skins and had similar problems with both. I have quickslots unlocked but the original quickslots are placed over the custom ones and I don't see a way to hide the original or get skills into the custom slots.

I've restarted the client many times to no avail.

I attached a pic to show what I'm talking about. Any help would be appreciated.

You can alter the default quickslots in the quickslots section of LOTRO default options menu. Move UI items (including these quickslots) by holding ctrl and pressing # (this varies depending on where your keyboard (country) was made.)

If its not CTRL #, try CTRL /. Failing that, go into key mapping in the lotro menu and find the Reposition UI in the miscellaneous section

The picture looks like Black Vellum with the default toolbar. You're right that you need to unlock the quickslot bars but you also have to move them by hand to the correct position. Fortunis' post describes how to do that.

The Black Vellum custom toolbars can use docked quickslots so you don't have to align them yourself. You have to know something about xml and editing the skin to get that working though.

Thank you both for the replies. I understand now, I didn't realize the empty black slots where place holders at first. I kept trying to drag skills into them lol!
