chat window request

Hello all,

is it possible, or has it already been done and I overlooked? Could someone make a plugin that makes the chat window fade out to dissappear (including text inside the window). and allow it to return when something pops up in it, or you activate it with / or enter key ?

Also,
one that allows you to change the size of just the chat tabs only? I get so tired of making my window smaller, but my tabs are off screen
