Fog of War?

Anyone know what MinimapFogOfWarDisplay or RealMinimapFogOfWarDisplay are for? I've noticed that in some UI Sets (LM Eorlingas for example) this is used, and others it is not, so I'm confused.

I've been using a hex editor in an attempt to see what .dat files ArtAsset IDs can be found in, and I noticed these two items in the client_general.dat but really no idea what they do yet.
