Need help to install few addons..

So, i have read the FAQ many times.I have installed the Lotro game file in my HDisk at C:\Program Files, and after i ran the game i went to C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My documents\The Lord of the Rings Online file which client made , there were screenshots saved, i made a new file in there and i renamed it to "ui" and in the ui file i made an other file "skins".So i dled the addons that i want to use i extracted em in the skins file and i ran the game.In the ui options i could find the addons that i have dled but i got some wierd results..

i checked if the addons files was corrupted but no everything was ok..
Anyone got any good point why that did happen?
Thanks.

Make sure the files are actually in the sub folder, and that when you extracted the ui itself it created a folder with its name under it; ie; ui/skins/uiname.

I attached an example below using my ui's folders for you to look at.

Other than that I suggest re-downloading the ui of your choice and try re-installing it.

Hope this helps

Hmmm...

First inclination is absence of the SkinDefinition.xml file, maybe?

Do other UI's do this too?

yeah every ui i choose i got the same result..
in the LOTRO file that is in my documents file there are only 3 files 1 that called "lotro.keymap" an other one that called "UserPreferences" and the ui file that i made, if that helps..

It looks right to me on a quick glance. Not sure what's wrong.

My friend, you have the problem because of the greek language. My friend has it too and somehow he changed it and it worked. Im greek as well, so believe me on this ;)

I've pointed this (and the other) thread out to Frosty, he is looking into it, see if there is something on their end that they can suggest/fix.

Elestin, if you can find out what your friend did that fixed it for him and get that info posted here, it would be much appreciated. :)

same "greek " problem here...

hi, i'm greek, and i have the exact same problem...

-> I don't know if the OS language is indeed the problem
-> but it sure sounds like alcoholic anonymous!!!!!!!!!!

i'm Guessing...

I don't know what your friend did Elestin but
If we copy the folder structrure on the same place
but rename the greek named folder with the english equivalent
as in "ta eggrafa mou" = My Documents
will this work? I'll try and post back...

if I remember correct the place for the
My Documents folder is indicated by a system variable...
So this will be a very lucky shot.

--> FIX FAILED : Lotro recreated the same folder structure and files with default settings...
