Map Locations
 

I'm sure most of you have been to mehq.net and checked out the awesome dynamic map. If you haven't what is wrong with you?! Anyway... would it be possible to put locations such as this into our own game map? It would be awesome not to have to put in windowed mode or alt+tab out of the game to check the map on MEHQ. I realize that this would be quite a task, but it would be extremely useful.

It's not yet possible. The game map is 100% server-side.

Many of us have requested both coordinates and map notes capabilities. We'll just have to wait and see if Turbine picks up the ball and runs with it now. You can always try the main LotRO forums or leave a note for Frosty and see what he says...

I'm not asking for waypoints (ie: Star Wars Galaxies). Just simple markers for quest locations on the map would be nice. I cannot even count the times I got killed while alt+tabbed out of the game, trying to find the location on MEHQ.

Yeah...mapnotes...like I said. lol I agree...and people have asked for them. Nothing, so far, has been said by Turbine in either direction.

If they implement advanced interface modifications (as LUA for example)this would probably be possible to do, even tough i may take some time :).

In the meantime it's quick alt-tabbing that rules!

And I forgot... I too vote for mapnotes! That wouldn't be to much of work for Turbine but a great benefit for the game.
