LOTRO not recognizing my plugins?

Hello,

I would like to preface this post by saying that I am new to this game and have not picked up on many of the subtle nuances of it.

I recently found this site and am very interested in using the modifications I have found on this site to modify my client! I read the faqs on the appropriate directory to download the plugins to, however when I log into LOTRO after downloading the plugins and typing "/plugins refresh" I am constantly getting the message that there are no plugins.

This is what I did: I downloaded the turbine and turbine plugins folder, that I am told contains the required libraries, and the plugins I wanted to "c:/program files/turbine/The lord of the rings online/plugins" and then I logged into the game and attempted to load them to no avail.

Is this possibly due to the fact that in the faqs I have read the directory is c:/program files/The lord of the rings online/plugins and does not include the turbine folder? If so, can I safely delete the turbine folder and make them work or is there some other problem?

Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Brief reply, I am off to work!, you've put them in the wrong folder.

Guide here

They do not go under the Program Files folder, rather under the "My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins" folder.

OMG! Yes, thank you.

Whilst it may seem intuative, I wish your *plugins* manager file had this link as part of the write up.

YOur F.A.Q. section says to *make* a folder called plugins and I did, but it didn't work. I would make that *link* first and foremost as part ofyour F.A.Q.

Thanks! That link was a lifesaver.
