Auto Attack Button - is there a point? Can I remove?

Hello,

I am currently working on a skin for the game, and I notice the Auto Attack button seems to be pretty useless. Unless I understand it wrong, is it just the same thing as right clicking on the enemy? If so, I can safely remove it so remove clutter as it is not needed.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, new to LotRO and couldn't find answer elsewhere.

Personally I don't see any use for it. But if you plan to go public with your skin be prepared that someone will ask for it (huntars might need starting the fight or so .. dunno never played a huntar but I have heard requests like that).

Thank you kindly Damon..I play a hunter but I never use the button....I guess if you are in skirmishes it may come in handy...Hrm. Since this is FOR me..I will make without..later I could always add it.

Thanks for the info! :)

BTW I love your Skin!

I had a similar problem - you can resize the button but not the "swirl" that you get during combat... I just end up doing without!

Personally, I find it handy to have the autoattack button.
You both mentioned already hunters use it more than other classes I think.

At some fights, like final boss in Dark Delvings, you have to stop attacking for a while since he reflects damage for some time. As melee class, you can run back, but as ranged, you should stop the autoattack. You can do that by not selecting the boss, but I prefer to have him still selected and to see the buff. That way I can immediately start attacking when the buff expires.

Just a matter of preference I think ;-)

Cheers,
Ray

Ah, see I am new to the game so I havn't seen anything like this before. Glad I kept the button on there then, at least for those that need it, just made it small and inobtrusive :)
