There and back again

Hi there,

I just started my own interface for LotRo and thought that some feedback would be nice. So I decided to post the first previews here.

The main "topic" of the interface are Hobbits. For me the biggest story of the hobbits isn't the one of Frodo, but the one of Bilbo. So I decided to call the Interface "there and back again".

As I said I just started, but the progress is good, an I think that a first Beta will be available by the weekend, or just after. I used generally in-game-graphics for the design, so that a Hobbit will always feel home, even if he's in Angmar.

Anyway, here are some impressions, and I hope you'll like it.

Time for another preview. I finished some things today, but it takes a lot of time with all the transparent, and half transparent tga-graphics if you want to do it proper. Still a lot to do, but I think half of the skin is finished.

On the first screen you can see the the map wit hope on 3. It glows just slightly blue, and very bright on the highest hope-level.

On the next screen you can see the journal and the control panel. all the mouse over stuff is finished already.

Remember, there will be some changes at some points, I am not satisfied with every detail, but overall I am happy with the result so far. Hope you like it too!

Hi there,

I had a bad cold the last couple of days, so I had no chance to release a first beta last weekend. But I think I'll be finished with everything tommorow, maybay the day after.

Today I designed a few small things, those details which take the most time. ;)

I also created the battle indicator today. I tryed a few things, but at last I've chosen the "one Ring" as the main symbol, and I think it fits perfectly with the rest. Also this is what the story of Bilbo is all about, the ring.

i like this a lot! i would use this on my hobbit soon as it's released.
very nice work on the bottom bar

my only concern is the reddish hue on the window backgrounds, but that's not a real issue, just a personal preference (just don't like red much)
