Description
This plugin creates a single window that contains available travel skills, including race, class, housing, and reputation skills. It is a further development of the "Travel Window" plugin, that has been worked on by multiple authors before.

Since this plugin is a 100% replacement for "Travel Window" you should not have both enabled at the same time. You can keep them both installed though.

The plugin has four modes of operation - icon grid, text list, pulldown list and carousel. These can be switched from the menu that opens when you right-click the plugin. This menu also gives you access to the options window.

Installation:
This is a full plugin and can be installed standalone. Follow the general plugin installation instructions to install Travel Window II or update the install (depends on your OS).
I recommend you install and manage your plugins with the LOTRO Plugin Compendium found at this URL, since it will install plugins cleanly and take care of installing the Turbine utilities for you: LOTRO Plugin Compendium App

If you do not use Plugin Compendium, you need to manually install Turbine utilities that are available at:
http://content.turbine.com/sites/lot..._LuaPlugins.7z
This has to be extracted to your "Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins" folder (if you are on Windows) so two folders called Turbine and TurbinePlugins show up there.

FAQ:
How can I make a newly learned skill show up in Travel Window II?
These three options work:
  • right-click anywhere on TW II, select "Check untrained skills" from the menu, the skill will show up
  • open options window, go to Enable tab, click "Check untrained skills" button, the skill will show up
  • relog the character

Why does my racial skill show up even though I do not have the racial trait equipped?
  • Because once the trait is acquired, it is classified as a "learned" skill by LOTRO itself, even though it is greyed out. Travel Window II, unfortunately, has no way of knowing if you have the racial trait equipped and the skill is usable. If you are not using the skill permanently, you can use the Enable/Disable options to hide it like any other skill.

Why does a reputation or store version of my racial skill show up even though I have not obtained or bought it?
  • This is because the racial and those store-bought skills have identical names ingame (i.e. "Return to Bree") and the plugin obtains a list of learned skills for your character that includes that particular name at least once. Based on that name alone the plugin cannot know which of the two skills you have obtained, while you can get both through the Racial+Store combo. You can use the Enable/Disable options to hide the skill you do not have that is greyed out.

How do I use the Carousel mode?
  • Use the mousewheel while hovering over the travel skill icon to change the selected skill.

Is there a way to copy my sorted list of ports from one character to another? I have a baby hunter, and I would like to use the list my main hunter uses, which took me quite a long time to set up originally. (I like the Guides and Returns for the same area next to each other, and insert Trestlebridge between Bree and Esteldin for example.)

If not, or anyway, would it be possible to add a move up/down by 10/25 in the Sort window. It would speed rearranging up quite a bit.

Thank you for your work on the plugin. I used to use quite a few, but now it's one of only 2 I use. (The other being Mouse Finder.)

Thanks for such a great plugin Hyoss. I have a small problem. I went to a relative who had an enormous screen that had an enormous resolution for me to plug my laptop into. I played LOTRO on this larger resolution while I was there, but now that I'm back home and playing on a smaller resolution I cannot for the life of me find the Travel Window II icon. I'm guessing it's stationed at a location outside of my screen coordinates. Can you help me get the icon back so I can use the plugin again?
There two ways to achieve this currently.

a) manually edit the position of the button in the config file
b) use the options window of TWII to reset the whole plugin to defaults - it is accessible from the options tab in the plugin manager

I can elaborate on both options later but hope this helps.

Error with 1.0.26

Hi, Hyoss! When I attempt to load 1.0.26 the following error occurs:
Code:
...e\Plugins\TravelWindowII\src\IndexedDictionaryEn.lua:71: attempt to call global 'IndexedDictionary' (a nil value)
...e\Plugins\TravelWindowII\src\IndexedDictionaryEn.lua:71: attempt to call global 'IndexedDictionary' (a nil value)
The plugin does not load in, it shows as unloaded in the Plugin Manager and none of the UI elements appear.

Reverting to 1.0.25, all works as expected.

Anyone who wants to add the Ettenmoors skill immediately:

Code:
repLocations:AddSkill("Return to Gln Vraig", "0x7005B38E", "Gln Vraig (Quest)");
Add this to the IndexedDictionaryEN.lua anywhere where the repLocations can be found. A new version supporting this will come soon.

The entry on the "enable" list includes " Carn Dm (Rep)" with that extra space typo. I corrected the entries in IndexedDictionaryEn.lua on my local copy and that entry on the "enable" list as displayed in game is now correct.

It appears that the Gln Vraig travel skill is present in the plugin code but commented out. Is there something odd about that specific skill that prevents it from being added to the list of other available travel skills?
I will make sure to fix the typo.

What is present in the code for the Moors is non-functioning code for the old inventory item that was the Map to Glan Vraig. This was changed to be a skill only recently and I plainly missed that. It should be a relatively straightforward addition, I just need a moment to add the skill and then prepare a release.

It would be great if Return to Gln Vraig (Ettenmoors) could be added as well!

Such a convenience, thanks for this great plugin!

I regularly use Travel Window II and love it. I also sync my plugins and settings between my desktop and laptop so that I don't have to play without them when I travel. Unfortunately, I play in different screen resolutions on the two computers, and since I keep my TW2 icon in the bottom right-hand corner of my screen, it doesn't show up on my laptop, unless I go and manually edit the settings file.

I'd like to request one of two features. The presumably easy one would be to check at startup if any of the X/Y coordinates are off the edge of the screen, and if so, to fix them in some way (either bring them into the edge of the screen or just reset them to a default value). The awesome (but possibly unrealistic) one would be to save different sets of coordinates for screens of different sizes. Thanks!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Return to Tornhad (The Angle)

Since you are missing all of the skills below, this tells me you have not updated TW II since v1.0.18beta. Tornhad was supported only in v1.0.19beta; the newest is 1.0.23beta with even more skills and bug fixes.
That would explain it! Thank you so much for your help!
