Sorry for the newb question. I already have this F2P UI, but I see it's been recently updated fixing for example the Moria tag in the Deeds list. How do I apply the update if I already have it downloaded? Re-download it? Will it reset my settings if I do? Thanks.

Nope, it will not affect the placement of your UI at all by re-downloading the newer version and installing it.

I'm currently working on updating various window backgrounds. After having spent some time with the blue background shown in the newest picture I tried a dark green for a while and it's proven to be perfect. So I'll update as many still unskinned window backgrounds as I can to match. Meanwhile I'll also be incorporating the larger tradeskill window. That's a bit of a learning curve for me since it requires digging deeper into XML but I think it will be worth it! There have certainly been several requests for this.

Thank you to everyone who's shown such enthusiasm for this ongoing project. While it started out as something for myself, I'm really glad to know that it has also been embraced by so many other players!

And remember: vote for it! For some reason the powers that be behind the lotrointerface site leave out of date UI's in the "most popular" and "most downloaded" lists. The only way that the current version will ever eclipse the old (and now fairly incompatible) versions is if everyone who likes Eorlingas Revisited remembers to vote it up.

Re: Player portrait

That seems to have "fixed" it. I reset the frame values for the vitals back to 1 and it appears to be working. I'll give it a runthrough this afternoon and see how it holds up.
Edit: Works perfectly! It would be nice if I could enlarge the vitals frame, but I'll deal with it. Any plans on enlarging the crafting window in a future release? Just a note, the vitals frame bugs out whether I use the vitals slider or using the master slider for the UI. Thanks so much for your help.

I've been having the same issue. i have the vitals panel set to 1.15 original scale as i need it larger due to running a high resolution on 24" screen, and every time i zone it slightly enlarges. Also if i adjust the vitals panel size the portrait enlarges at an extremely fast rate whilst moving the slider until the portrait goes off the bottom right edge of the screen. Which would be fine as i dont need to see my character's face all the time in the little window. The problem is, if i keep adjusting the slider a little bit more or play for a long while (or zone lots in a short while) then the portrait will suddenly appear full screen and block sight of everything else and then i am forced to relog.

Just wondering if you're still looking into this issue and if so are you any close to fixing it? Love the UI and would be upset if i had to switch to something else Thanks and keep up the great work all of you!

Re: Re: Player portrait

It's an issue on Turbine's end. There is no known fix for it. Any UI that alters the character portrait is going to have this happen. The only solution would be to edit the skin definition file to remove the alterations to the character frame.

Re: Re: Re: Player portrait

Thanks for the speedy reply

Im a noob when it comes to working this stuff out, so could someone please be kind enough to work out what size i should make to vitals panel so it's a good value. Obviously 1.00 is a good value, but what is the next highest number that's also a good value? Not sure if it's reliant on resolution so i'll include mine in case: i'm running it at 1920 x 1200

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm trying some out starting at 1.15 and raising the number by .01 each time i zone through a door, but i'm not sure if they are just not good values or if i need to relog each time i make an adjustment (making my tests void), and in which case it would be painful to just keep raising the number by .01 each time and then re-logging over and over. So if any of you smart noggins could do the math or please explain to me how to do it myself it would be a huge help.

Thanks, Ps. Xspurt stands for: X = unknown quantity & spurt = a drip under pressure. Describing me perfectly!

On second thoughts (after further trial) this is a bit too much hassle for what it's worth so am reverting the vitals to 1.05 (largest i've found that does not exhibit bug, although it's hard to see buffs and de-buffs :-/ )

Interestingly i noticed the portrait image starts to show the enlarging bug from 1.06 onwards but stays same size from 1.0-1.05. However if you go under 1.0 to .99 and beyond the portrait immediately begins to shrink instead of enlarge or stay the same size.

If anyone finds a way to fix this i'd still be interested, just don't waste too much time on account of me! Thanks again

UI is great but i wonder is there anyway for move MainBar to left or Right ( specially Right ) corner. If it can not move to corners then is there any version which dont have bags and left side buttons bar ( need only action bar ).

Actually is there any version which have smaller mainbar

Thanks and good work

This is not a change that I am interested in making. As far as I know there are specific restrictions on what you're asking for. First, the main bar cannot be moved. Second, those various buttons are locked in place and cannot be removed. The best that can be done is for them to be made invisible -- but the spots where they are is still clickable.

In addition to those restrictions, it's just a lot of extra work because I would have to be supporting multiple versions of the same skin with significant differences in the definition file. No skin is going to satisfy all users. I have no desire to support myriad variations in an attempt to accomplish that. If you don't like the skin as it is, my recommendation would be to learn how to create your own variant. I specifically enabled the "Allow Add-On" feature at LotROInterface so that people can do so.

As I said previously, this is a bug on Turbine's side. It is a known issue, but they've given no indication that it will be fixed any time soon. Until they do so, ANY skin that changes the character portrait is going to be subject to this happening.

Crafting Panel

It appears that Turbine has decided to adopt the larger craft window all on their own -- and actually taken it to a level beyond what a skin can do because their new version places standard and mastery options on the same page with no need to toggle between them. See Here

After the update is released I'll get the new window skinned to match the Eorlingas theme as quickly as possible.

I just registered to post: THANK YOU! I have used this UI since it was available. I had a long break so returning to F2P now I was first distressed that the original was not updated any longer and then delighted when I found this. Keep up the great work!

Dressing room bugged?

Hi, and firstly many thx for this UI.
I have been using Azure Glass tall for quite some time, but afaik there have been no updates to deal with the issues caused by the new crafting panel, which makes crafting a real pain.
I therefore chose Eorlingas Revisited and love it's appearance, but have noticed a bug when using the dressing room linked from an item in your inventory.
Using DX11, not sure if this is the cause - any ideas?
Thx in advance
