This is (almost) exactly what I was looking for from a UI. I'm trying to make one now that doesn't change or eliminate any graphics, just makes them more transparent-- like, about 50% opacity. (No luck so far... having some trouble preserving that transparency when I save the file in Photoshop... Advice is welcome.)

Specific to what you have here, the key things for me are:

1) Being able to see through the expanded map while I run around. This is AWESOME. Great job. It's a huge improvement especially in the big outdoor areas.

2) Being able to see through the LFG and LFM panels while running around (especially the LFM panel-- when I create a group, I hate having to close out this window because I'll often miss folks looking to join.)

3) Being able to see through any of the (currently) opaque backgrounds in those huge honkin' windows.

You might notice a pattern here. I don't know why some of the window backgrounds are see-through (The "Quest/Favor" window IIRC) and some aren't. I just wish they'd standardize one look...

Regarding bugs: My zip file was missing most of the files required for the XP bar, and one of the two files that was included was corrupted.

This is the coolest thing i think Ive googled ..lol.the transparent look is going to be my fav thing about the game now..lol.only..looking at the pictures..i noticed it is all in german..does that mean if i get this my screen will be in german as well??

No if you play in english, the skin will be in english.

I am delighted you all like my skin. I'm trying to complete it soon. There are some things missing at the time.

Is there any way for you to edit the color of the text in the windows?
Such as the text in guild window to sort by name, last login and rank. The text as is is invisible till I mouse over it.

Not a huge deal. I love the skin by the way.

No. I didn't find a way to change Fontcolors. If anyone knows how to change, please tell me.

This is the closest thing to what i'd love to see developped

I'm with the other poster who wants the most amount of screen for the beautiful graphics but want all my hot bars open and 2 chat boxes.
Getting rid of all the clutter around the UI is the best solution. nice tight line edges and minimal inteference.

I love your semi transparent and transparent look and feel, and i love the way you've got all the hot bars nice and tightly lined up.

I wish there was some way we could adjust the over-all size percentage..
i.e. all UI scaled to 75% of original size, chat window fonts in narrow ariel and font size 8 etc....

In a nutshell this is an awesome mod and you should be proud of this work.

I just want to have my 28" 1920x1200 screen mostly in game view without losing a single button to click on

Question: why cant the UI elements be placed hard up against the edge of the screen? I notice in the original and in everyones homemade UI that theres a few pixels spacing between any object and the edge of the screen!
Also, is it possible to make the focus orb and the mini map square or even the same size (i.e. focus orb same size as the mini map?)

These are just thoughts, not in any way a belittling of your awesome job!

I am having a bit of trouble uploading it, if anyone could be so kind and put a self directing layout on "how to do" it would be helpful, I noticed LOTR has a guide for this but I am unable to get this to work following their method. I would appreciate it and believe I may not be the only one either and they might be appreciated of it as well. Thank you again.

This is what I am looking for in a skin. Minimalist. I get frustrated with all the frames taking up so much space. I like to see as much screen as possible. So thanks for the skin.

Only complaint? I hate having to change the skin out every time I change characters. If I forget, which is often I'm afraid, I end having to quit the game to reset the map. Frustrating, to say the least. But I've noticed that other skins have the same problem.

But still, I love the skin.
