This plugin is still being developed, but I've got enough map location in it for it to be useful. It will take another update before it works properly with Plugin Compendium.

This is a significant update that adds more locations and a new Check List window for tracking locations that have been visited (each character has their own lists). Thi feature is essential for Deeds where only the total count is displayed.

Exclamation Version 0.5

This update adds significant new features that make it easier to use.
The Heading button will calculate and display the distance and compass heading of the selected item and the Nearest button will find the nearest item that hasn't been Checked yet, sets it as the current item, and activates the Heading button.

WARNING: I've changed the database structure for the Ranger Caches and Relics in the Wastes, so if you created a checklist for either of these, you will need to delete them *before* installing this new version to prevent a runtime error. They can be deleted by selecting them and clicking Done and then clearing the Done check. Otherwise, the only way to fix it will be to delete the whole checklist file for that character.

This version is a significant improvement. It adds several more location lists and new categories. I revised the appearance of the main window to make it easier to read. I found some typos in the location data and I improved several descriptions to make locations in instances easier to find.

The CHeck List window position will now also be saved at the same time as the main window (If it is open). Finally, if you click the Heading button when you are at the current item, it will automatically check off the current location as found so that you don't have to find it in the list.

I'm continuing to add locations and new features. I added a "Find what's here" button. If you happen upon a page, chest, etc. that you currently aren't working on, now you can stand on the item and click this button to find the corresponding collection. It has to be an exact coordinate match. If found, it will automatically set the Map, Area, and Item # for that location. You can also use it to switch collections.

I also fixed a bug that occurred if the Check List window had never been opened and clicking on the Heading button produced a match.

BTW, when working on deeds, ALWAYS collect the item before checking it off. If you fail to collect one and visit all the locations, your deed won't be complete and you won't know which one you missed. Then you'll have to revisit them to find the one you missed. And it is not fun to have to repeat your visits.

Exclamation Version 0.9

This is a major upgrade over the last release (I've been spending many days on it). As usual, I've been adding more item collections, but I've also added more features.

First, there are now Save Item and Restore Item buttons. You can save the current item that you are working on with your character and when you play the same character again, you can return to what you were working on. There is also an option that allows you to work on two collections concurrently. If you hold down the Shift key when you click on the Restore button, the saved item will be swapped with the current item. After seeing which is closer, you can swap back.

The other big addition is a Compass window that will display the directional information graphically along with the distance so that you don't need to check the chat log as you move towards the target. Use "/llw c" to toggle open the Compass window and optionally add a click panel with "/llw cc". The click panel functions just like the Heading button on the main window. I would have made it always active, but due to API limitations, it adds a big ugly dark square to the compass, so you may prefer not to use it. The Compass window default to the center of the screen, but you can drag it to a different position.

Exclamation Version 0.9.4

With this update, I'm almost finished with the development and testing of this plugin. There are a few collections that need hints added and I haven't verified every location yet (I copy them from the Lotro Wiki pages).

I've added a couple of new commands. "/ll quest" displays available quest collections for the current level that haven't been started or finished. "/ll deed" does the same thing for deeds. Also, holding down the Shift key while clicking on the Find What's Here button will look for available collections within 10 units of the current location.

I've added some shortcuts for the Compass window. To make it quicker to activate the window, clicking on the bottom edge of the Nearest button (the button will highlight), open the Compass window. If the Shift key is also held down, the optional panel for the Heading action will also be added. Holding down the Shift key while clicking on Heading will perform Nearest instead.

Question Categorizing Collections.

Those of you that have been using this plugin for a while have probably noticed that I've changed the category that a few of the collections are in. I've done this to maintain consistency, but unfortunately, Lotro hasn't been consistent in how things are organized...

A good case in point is the deed that I'm currently running called "Treasure of North Ithilien". If you do the ";loc" in chat, it will tell you that the locations are in Mordor, so that is the region that I have to assign the collection to for the location tracking to work. HOWEVER, the deed isn't listed in the Mordor tab in the deed window! It is actually found in the Gondor tab under the "March of the King" category! This makes it a lot harder to try and figure out if you've completed a deed or if it is still in progress. At least with quests, they are all in one window with filters available to help you locate them.

I'm debating whether it would be worth the trouble to go back over all the deeds collections and add a label indicating where the deed is found. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Exclamation Version 1.0

After many hours of development and testing, I'm finally ready to declare this plugin completed. All collections now display a quest/deed log category when selected so that you can check if you have finished it. This can also be used in the Lotro wiki to locate the page that describes it.

Selecting a collection will display a summary of the types of rewards for completing it and possibly a notice about requirements or other help.

There are a few lore collections like Naerband Prison that can't be soloed (designed for 6 players) and are contained in an instance, so they are suitable for this plugin. I may add other collections in the future and probably will for future expansions.

While collecting Rare Gundabad Chests, I found that some of the locations had an 's' where there should have been an 'n'. This update corrects those values.

(I'm surprised that nobody reported this in the last couple of months that this has been in effect.)

Re: Version 1.0.1

Note: There is a typo in the file "LostLore.plugin".

It should read:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Plugin>
  <Information>
	<Name>LostLore</Name>
	<Author>David Down</Author>
	<Version>1.0.1</Version>
	<Image>Vinny/LostLore/Book.tga</Image>
	<Description>LostLore contains lists of lore pages with locations.
	Rare Treasure chests and Dwarf markers are also included.</Description>
	<website>http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info1172</website>
  </Information>
  <Package>Vinny.LostLore.LL_Main</Package>
  <Configuration Apartment="Vinny"/>
</Plugin>
(The ".1" belongs in the Version field and not the ?xml field.)
