Description
This plugin is meant to make the finding and sharing of Roving Threat locations easier. Locations are different each day and per server, they change at the usual 3AM servertime reset time.

Fuctionality:
- A map for each region with markers at each possible location for the Roving Threats, toggle red if there is a RT there.
- Coordinates are shown when hovering over a location.
- Locations are saved between alting on one server.
- Possibility to send the locations you have marked to chat channels.
- Option to 'Receive data': if someone else send their marked locations, they will automatically be added to your map.
- Toggle button to put anywhere on the screen to quickly hide/show the map.
- Locking of a map to avoid receiving wrong locations or accidentally changing them
- Clearing/activating all of one map's locations
- Clicking the green dot will show your approximate location on the map.
- Ctrl+clicking a location will send it to the group as the next target.
- Alt+clicking a location will use a Waypoint command.

Installation:
Unzip the folder in your Plugins folder. This plugin does not depend on other plugins.

Usage:
Either use "/plugins load RTPlugin" to load the plugin, or load it via the Plugin Manager ("/plugins manager").

You will get a small toggle button to put anywhere on your screen, to show and hide the main window. Furthermore, you can use "/rtplugin" to show and hide the main window.

In the main window, pick the area in which you are looking for the Roving Threats, and find the locations on the map. Hovering over the button will give you exact coordinates, clicking them will switch them from red to white and back, red for when there is a Roving Threat. Note that Roving Threats can walk around close to the coordinates.

To send the locations of a given map to other players, select the appropriate channel, and in case of a Tell, type in a target, and click the Send button. If anyone receiving the message has the 'Receive data' checkbox activated, the coordinates will be added to their map (Note, this will not clear already marked locations, so you can search a map together).

You can lock a map to avoid accidentally changing it by clicking the lock next to the close button, or by using the menu when right-clicking a map.

When a new day starts, press the Daily Reset button to clear the locations (since the locations change every day) of all maps (this requires maps being unlocked). To clear or activate all locations on one map, there is a menu when right-clicking one map.

For group leaders: you can ctrl+click the next location to send a message to the fellowship, raid, kinship, ... saying "Next RT is at <coords>.". Alt+click will use the Waypoint command to show the direction of the next coordinates. Clicking a green dot will put a marker on the map where you are (this will only refresh if you again click a green dot).

Although I have not encountered a Roving Threat that was not on the locations of these maps, it is possible that some locations are not yet marked. Should you encounter such location, I'll be happy to add the location.

Re: Update RTPlugin U27.2 version 1.00

DLevel, My kin and I have been struggling with not having the Alias/Loc function work in RTPlugin for months and I just found your patch. Thanks!

But I wonder, why did you do this as a patch instead of an update so that the LOTRO Plugin Compendium could pick it up as a new version and download/install?

Suggestions

Hello and as always thanks for such an awesome and useful plugin. We're hoping this is still something that is being updated periodically. After using it for quite some time now, a few of my Kinmates and I have found a few things that would be helpful on the plugin:

1. Add number of RT's in a Zone to the tab so the tab would have the name of the Zone as it does now, with a number in parenthesis showing how many are there. Helps those that are new to helping scout them out.

2. Add the green button for locating yourself on the map to both sides of the plugin, I typically put it on my right bottom side of my screen so having it on the both sides of the plugin would be so much more helpful.

3. Enlarge the green location button to be able to click it more easily.

4. Have some type of check for when you click the Daily Reset button. Maybe something asking if you're sure or something. Many of us have accidentally clicked that button instead of the send button when trying to transmit coords to others.

5. Ability to resize the window smaller/larger (even if all we can do is pan the full size map). Along with this the ability to locate it further down the screen like many other plugins can.

6. Would love to be able to have the names of the Mordor Besieged Nazguls in the popup tooltip that gives the coords since those are always in the same place.

7. Ability to have some way to mark which RT is in which place in all other zones than Mordor Besieged. Not sure how this could be done, but maybe a checkbox or radio button system? Would need to be part of the information transferred when sending.

I know that's a lot, but anything at all that could be done with the above would be very appreciated and helpful. Thanks for any consideration you can give to these suggestions.

Re: Conflict with Moormap Plugin since LOC updates

Since the last RT Plugin update (and of course the last LOTRO update that made you do the update for the loc's) there is a strange conflict going on. It's not horrible, but I'm sure it's not good.

When I use the RT Plugin
- Each time I change to a new map when we run our RT Runs, and I click the little green button to locate myself on the map, it opens the Moor Map.

- Then all is fine until I change maps and do it again for a new map.

I'm sure it's some conflict in the loc's that were updated but don't know which plugin is causing it so please check this and see what's going on. Thanks!
This is due to a bug in how MoorMap behaves when it detects a /loc command response in the chat. This has nothing to do with RTPlugin. I will further address this in the MoorMap thread.

Unhappy Conflict with Moormap Plugin since LOC updates

Thumbs up Suggestions: RT Totals, Resize Window

Hello!
Want to say what an awesome plugin this is, our Kin uses it regularly a few times a week! I do have a couple suggestions if you are taking them at all:

1. Would be great if the maps had the number of RT's on each of the maps. Wouldn't need to be interactive, just something either on the map itself or on the tab with the numbers in Parenthesis or something. Would be helpful for those of us that scout on our hunters but may not be doing the runs on them, so grabbing the quests isn't always an option.

2. One of the things most of the people I've talked to that use the app have had in common is the desire to be able to resize the window. Would be great if it could be sizable with dragging the corner like many of the plugins are.
NOTE: This doesn't mean the maps have to resize, we can pan around them just fine so no need to resize them at all, just make the map movable within the window and we'd be very happy with that.

Thanks for any consideration you can give to these suggestions and even if not, for a great and useful plugin!

Re: All locations red

Quote:
Hi, I just installed RTPlugin and find it extremely useful. I am encountering a problem, though: each location I click is red, regardless of the presence of a RT. I installed the plugin via plugin compendium, is there something I should do to have it work correctly?
Thanks
Hello,

unfortunately there is no way for the plugin to determine where the RTs are. This plugin helps you see the possible spawn points and mark them (clicking on te locations making them red). Than you can share the locations with other players through chat. So you could for example scout the locations ahead for a big kin run, or get the locations from someone else that already found them.

Hope that explains.

Note: nowadays its possible for cap players to solo the RTs, so there is not as many organized runs and sharing coordinates in world chat as it used to be, so this plugin is mostly useful just for seeing the possible locations on map.

Mordor Besieged Update

I created a Mordor Besieged map update. It includes the previous map updates.
It is compatible with but does not include the Ctrl-Key Fix.

This is not working for me anymore.
Could it be because of the 64 Bit client?

Heya
I am wondering if you are still updating this plugin.
