I find this highly useful! My only request would be for you to add an option for a 12-hour clock. Other than that, this is pure gold. Excellent work!

I'm noticing that user settings are not saved between sessions. Looking in my plugindata folder reveals no plugindata file for CTime, even though I am saving my settings via the plugin in-game. Still one of my very favorite plugins, though! Keep up the great work!

Save for Account Issue

Thanks again for your comment and your encouragement.

There seems to be a bug in the "save for account" part of CTime, gonna take a look at this and try to fix it.

The "save for <CharacterName>" should work correct, if you have the same problems with the "save for <CharacterName>" it would be great if u could post it here .

Edit : The problem lies in the loading part, which doesn't check if there is a settings file for the whole account and still remains loading the characters settings even if they aren't saved (standard settings). Gonna change it and you will find an updated version of CTime in the next hours.

Done !! Bug fixed in version 1.3

any chance of adding a /ctime toggle command rather than show/hide? I like to put the commands on a quickslot, and having 1 rather than 2 would be preferred

Yay, finally the ingame clock I missed in LotRO with nice features (no more burned pizza) and a very nice author.

Just one thing... Would love to be able to resize it, just a tad bigger would be awesome.

hy, i just want to thank you all for your feedback

@ movn

I'm happy that you like CTime.

@ Rhilana

A zoom option seems to be a good idea, I just have to make some thoughts about the layout and the handling based on this option before i gonna implement it.

@ Elentir

Hy Elentir, i have tried out some settings but i haven't been able to reproduce your problem.

- If you right click on the time there should open up an option panel where u can find the "2nd time zone" entry.

- Just click on this menu option and you will see another new window in the upper left corner of your screen where you can change the time distance.

- Remember that there are 5 views in CTime (the small icon between the arrow keys shows you in which view you are) the blue icon (with the small globe) is the view for the second time zone.

If you change the second time zone and have the primary clock view open you won't see any changes.

Hope that i could help you, if you have further problems with CTime please post them here, so we can try to fix the problem.

Exclamation European Translation Problem

@ all european users of CTime

- the issues on the european (french and german) servers is known, but i wont find the time to fix this (cm caused issue) within the next week. i hope you could understand that i think codemasters has to fix this bad translation. if there wouldnt be a hotfix within the next weeks i think i gonna build up a seperate european version.

- if you recieve an error while u try to load CTime, you could try a quick andirty trick, there should be 5 stupid lines in the "CTimeSettings.plugindata" file (you can open it with any editor) , looking like [1,00000] = 0,00000 , just remove those 5 lines and CTime should start. Remember that there are maybe files for the whole account and for each char.

save/load problems on the french and german clients

In CTime v 1.4.1 all number Variables are now saved as Strings

This isn't the best way to solve this problem, but to be honest i really hope that CM would fix their mistake asap.

I just would say thanks to all CTime users

How does the change of CTime now works correctly ?
  • download CTime 1.4.1
  • unzip it
  • copy it to yout plugins folder
  • overwrite all files

now it should work, if u still recieve an error loading CTime you have to erase the saved settings files : CTimeSettings.plugindata from your PluginData directory and all directories inside it.

If there are still problems please write a comment or send a bug report.
================================================== =======

  • ladet euch CTime 1.4.1 runter

Re: a Huge Problem

Hy hobi,

guess i've found the bug, i gonna upload a new version of Ctime (v 1.4.2) within the next minutes.

if CTime v 1.4.2 works correct for you just ignore the following part (it was just my first reply to your comment) if the new version even doesn't work correct please answer the following questions

================================================== =====

old reply

it would be necessary to get some more information about your system :
  • which version of CTime do you use (1.4.1 / 1.4 / 1.3 ...)
  • which client do you use (US / DE / EN / FR / Bullroarer ...)
  • what is the language setting of your os (US / EN / DE / FR ...)
  • did CTime start up on your system an throws those errors while running or didn't it start.

i gonna check some possible reasons out, but it would be much easier to find the bug with more information.

EDIT

guess i found a possible reason for your problem, the questions are really relevant to check this out.

there are two possible reasons :
  1. you didn't have the file <ChronPlugins\CTime\Translate> or it is broken
  2. you use a not supported os language (this i have to fix in the source code there is a missing else part)

you can try this small trick : if you use another os language than (english, german, french) change it to english, start Lotro and CTime, set your prefered CTime language, save this settings for the account, close lotro and set your os language back to the original language (hope this works). but remember this is just a small trick, i have to change this part of CTime.

it would still be great if you could answer the upper questions (if you want post the answers here just use a pm)

thank you for your feedback
