Paged Slots

Description

Paged Slots Plugin

This plugin creates a small, simple to use quickslot bar that is 6 slots long, but has four 'pages', for a total of 24 quickslots.

Install
To install, unzip the downloaded file into the C:\Users\{username}\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins folder.

This plugin also requires the Turbine utilities file that is available at: http://content.turbine.com/sites/lot..._LuaPlugins.7z

NOTE: You can safely merge the DhorPlugins folder with an existing folder if you have one of my other plugins installed. It will not break anything.

Start
To start the plugin, type /plugins load pagedslots.
To show or hide the window, you can type slots toggle

Usage
Change from horizontal - vertical by clicking on the round yellow button.
Change the pages by clicking on the arrow buttons.

- fixed saving data for non-English clients

Version 1.10
- fixed bug in loading settings
- added message for when the plugin is fully loaded

I might change it at some point so you can choose the number of pages, but Travel Window is where I spend most of my time right now.

Really love this plugin!

However whenever I try to move a shortcut alias to one of the Pageslots boxes, my game crashes.

Any idea what this might be?

Folder Name

You need to name the main folders different things. Calling every folder for every plugin "DhorPlugins" means we can only use 1 of your plugins. I want to use the travel menu and paged slots, but I can only use 1 since the file name is the same.

I have had no problem using macros in PagedSlots, but is there any way to lock them? I seem to have a knack for making things fly off of toolbars

I've been using Plugin Compendium but I've had a problem with the PagedSlots getting updated...

In the Add New Plugins section, PagedSlots is listed (even though I already have it installed) with the version shown as 1.8 and the Author as D.H1cks. When I attempt to add it, it shows as installation complete but it doesn't get removed from the uninstalled Add New Plugins list. In the Installed Plugins section, PagedSlots doesn't get listed but Big Paged Slots is listed, as version 1.7 and Dhor is the listed Author.

I think there is a discrepancy somewhere in your .plugincompendium file or in your naming convention that is throwing this off so that the plugin isn't getting updated.

EDIT - My apologies. I just realized that Big Paged Slots is not yours but somehow got put into your plugin folder.

No, there won't be any way for me to separate them, I don't have access to his file. He may have tried to upload it as an addon, but I just realize I never enabled them for this plugin.

One thing you can do is set up your own list of favourite plugins and use that to list plugins to have in the list.

I made a folder for Amethadan

Moved his Big Paged Slots files to that folder

Copied your common folders to his folder

Went through all of the files in that folder and changed references to DhorPlugins to Amethadan and changed any reference to PagedSlots to BigPagedSlots

Changed the Author to Amethadan - Dhor

This worked for splitting the plugins in LPC and in the Turbine Plugin Manager (as well as in Bootstrap & Plugin Manager), and it allowed your Paged Slots to update correctly. I haven't tried them in game yet, but when I do, I'll let you know if it worked.

I know I only need one of them actually, but I'm collecting all of the plugins and using them to learn how you authors use Lua and how you each handle different situations, all in the hope of trying my hand at some plugins myself eventually.

Hi

After configuration of the plugin and restart from lotro i get an error:

and the Paged Slots Plugin couldn't be loaded. I tried to delete the config-file and do it again, but unfortunately i got the same error after the first configuration.

It is the comma instead of a decimal point from the numbers of the 24 Slots (perhaps saved by the german client with commas).
When i change ,000000] to .000000] the configfile could be parsed and the plugin is loaded.

Please, fix it.
