A small plugin to help you keep track of your characters, their trade skills and associated levels. No automation do-to the API but I think it will help a lot of people, I know it has helped me so far.
Standard intallation instructions apply.
If you find any bugs or anything you think would be a good addition please PM me.
Features:
Server level save file so all your characters have acccess to the same information.
Track all three of your Crafting skills, both the base and mastery levels.
Shopping list function so you can record notes you might need later that is unique to each character (such as what equipment a paticular character needs).
Potentualy unlimited number of character save slots.
Ability to track what recipes your other charicters have aquired.
Drawbacks:
Have to manualy enter character names, their profression, trade levels, and select recipes.
Updates in 0.9.9 -
- changed the recipe list to a tree view for ease, list is still unordered (still trying to procure new recipe list as well) list also does not have westfold recipes.
- added westfold as skill level option
- minor code clean up.
- single use checkbox removed because of unknown bug
- removed "Here Be Dragons" as a dependency
Updates in 0.9.5 -
- Changed recipe index to pull from a prebuilt list of recipes instead of manual entry.
- Should be compatable with old data files, if not contact me.

Install problem
This sounds like a great plugin. I can't get past the error
"Rings Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\CharWindow.lua:3: attempt to index field 'UI' (a nil value)"
I've reloaded this plugin many times, made the necessary changes for the directory and initial file.
If there is anyone else left out there, can you please tell me how to fix this error????

Hello, you can edit CraftersWindow.lua at line 7 change self:SetVisible( true ) to self:SetVisible( false ).

How to add Eastenmet tier
Love this plugin!
Changed the skills as in Jasmer's post, thanks.
You can also add the Eastenmet tier in a similar fashion:
Edit the CharWindow.lua file, after the line:
self.menulist:Add( Turbine.UI.MenuItem( "Westfold" ) )
add:
self.menulist:Add( Turbine.UI.MenuItem( "Eastemnet" ) )
save the file. After I restarted the plugin the Eastemnet tier showed up.
Hope this helps

Incorrect skill entry for Woodsman. Instead of Woodworker it lists Prospecting. This can be changed easily in NewCharWindow.lua in the Crafters folder. I believe it also has an incorrect entry under Scholar as well. Just scroll down until you see vocations and their individual crafting skills and make corrections as necessary. Close out and restart Lotro for changes to take effect.
Also, to get this working I had to place the plugin and Crafters folder in a new folder called Sandbox.
After these two issues were dealt with it seems to be working perfectly.

is there any way to get this to work?
I downloaded crafters and tried to use it but i keep getting errors and that my windows doesn't know how to open it. how do you download and install standalones? i noticed that it said it was not supported because of the zip format but i unzipped it with 7zip and it still can't be read by the compendium. is there any way to get it to work? seems like a great little file.

errors and command lines
NVM reloaded the client and it works now.
i get the following errors with this plugin
...Rings
Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\CharWindow.lua:3: attempt to index field 'UI' (a nil value)
...e Rings
Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\__init__.lua:1: Failed to import package "SandBox.Crafters.CharWindow".
...f the Rings
Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\Main.lua:1: Failed to import package "SandBox.Crafters".
Plugin sounds just what I need as I have a few alts and can be hard to keep tracking all of them.
also command line /Craft does not work.

Cool crafter organization
At least, it looks like it would be, but the recipes aren't in properly. At least not for my metalsmith. The Expert recipes are Artisan, the Artisan ones are Expert, and both levels have some extras and some missing (I'm guessing recent name-change by LOTRO?). So I'm not sure it's actually going to help with the crafting.

thx for the plugin, but a few questions / issues remain
1. packaging: apparently you cannot unpack the zip straight into "Plugins" directory, but need to put everything into a manually created subdirectory "Sandbox"? (otherwise it fails to load. you also do reference in __init__.lua:
Code:
import "SandBox.Crafters.CharWindow"
import "SandBox.Crafters.CraftersWindow"
import "SandBox.Crafters.NewCharWindow"
...
2. will it be possible one day to automatically grab all crafting information via API from character? adding everything manually is quite daunting task...

Recipes level wrong
I just started using this plugin yesterday and noticed with my Explorer that the Expert and Artisan level recipes are switched in all three professions. I haven't checked my other characters' vocations yet by I would wager that they all are. The recipes listed as Expert level are actually the Artisan recipes and the listed Artisan recipes are the Expert ones. Any chance on getting this fixed in the near future?

Re: Still Unable to Load
Quote:
I've been looking for something like this before I even knew there were plugins for this game, and this seems like exactly everything I needed, but I still am getting the "unable to resolve package "SandBox.Crafters.Main" error.
First question was the format of the .plugin upon downloading/extracting. Shouldn't it be "crafters.plugin" instead of "_crafters._plugin"? I won't see it in /plugins refresh unless i remove the underscores.
Here's my directory breakdown
/plugins/Crafters_09_09 /crafters.plugin
/Crafters
/__init__.lua
/alltheother.lua 's
I've tried moving everything up one directory, so the crafters.plugin is in the main /plugins folder, and /Crafters is underneath that, but it won't refresh.
I've tried putting the crafters.plugin file inside the /crafters folder and still no dice.
Sorry if I'm being obtuse about something, but I'm really struggling with this, and I'd love to use it. It would save tons of time.
I bought Rise of Isengard, if that makes a difference.

I'm not sure why the downloaded file is so messed up but here is what I did...
Create a folder in your Plugins folder named SandBox (do NOT create a folder named /Crafters_09_09) and then extract the .rar files to that folder. Then rename the file _Crafters._plugin to Crafters.plugin. This got it showing in LotRO Plugin Assistant although I have not yet tried it ingame.
Update - Just wanted to let you know that this does work. I'm using it ingame.
