I had already tried most of what Google had to say about it, because it wasn't showing in my folder even with hidden folders/files turned on, and the top most results didn't seem to really do anything (plus one mentioned to run a gpedit.msc from the run command, which didn't work on my machine, which I think makes sense since it seems to be some sort of server/client group policy manager). However I tried one other thing that I found googling it this morning, and then ran a disk clean, which a site mentioned would have to be done to remove the current ones on the file system. However, that still didn't fix it, but I can just delete the file from the zip prior to uploading it, so that is what I will do.

Version 1.31b should work. Let me know if it gives any problems.
That is what I had to do for TravelWindow. I now have a small script that creates the zips for releases and makes sure the tumbs.db file is never included in the zip.

New Epic Battles in Minas Tirith

Do you have any plan for an update with the new Epic Battles in Minas Tirith?

I do, unfortunately they have been a bit difficult to add since even though they follow pretty straight-forward progression, they lack decent callouts to know when waves are starting and ending. Plus I want to add timers for the epic foes, but not all waves have an epic foe and some waves can have either an epic foe or a regular quest so I have to take all of that into account.

I understand that.
It also seem to me that the side quests are very random

Yep. The side quests are only determined by side (there is roughly 2 side quests per side, though some have a 3rd). But there's no order to them like in Helm's Dike, Glittering Caves, etc. So at best I can really only tell you how long until they start, and which ones are possible, I can never give you an exact quest. It's a bit disappointing that they didn't stick to the same format as the Helm's Deep epic battles for these ones. For Pelargir I understood the differences since it was an "offensive" epic battle, but these ones are still defensive ones but their format, flow, and the way quests and instructions are done are just different enough that it's not as easy or even as worthwhile to get them in.

Re: Re: Re: Re: New Epic Battles in Minas Tirith

FYI we keep checking to see if the new MT Battles have been added. For me, timings are the most useful info, also the trap timers too, which quest is already known, but when it's coming is less so.

I use CTime to watch for 5 minutes in Hammer for the side quests, but often forget to reset it for the second side.

Epic Foe timers don't impact our choices either, you want max DPS regardless of how much time is left, heh.

But knowing how many catapult shots to get the kill count to trigger Defense side quests (right now I just do two to have time to get in position and await potential Epic Foe side) would help, and timings for Hammer would vastly help.

Since this is one of the most valuable plugins (until now), it would be great to see it updated, I've stopped recommending it to others in the meantime sadly.

But if you are otherwise distracted, or choose not to, know that the prior efforts have been appreciated!

Thanks. :-)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: New Epic Battles in Minas Tirith

Implementing the Minas Tirith epic battles is nearing completion, I just need some data to make sure the times are correct.

Unfortunately Turbine loves to tweak the way things work in these instances just enough that's it's not a copy/paste to get things working correctly, and they were nice enough to add an additional problem - the main quest name's aren't different between the solo and non-solo versions of the instances (normally the non-solo versions have "- Fellowship" or something that distinguishes it as the non-solo version), and since that was how I was verifying which instance and which group size you were in, I had to make an additional check to see if you are in a group, and how many people are in that group just to know which instance you are in. I didn't really want to do this, since I've always had problems with crashing once you start accessing the local players party functions (always possible they have fixed those over the last 2+ years), but it was the only clean solution I could really think of, other than simply asking the player what size it was (which isn't ideal in my opinion). However the drawback is if you do the 3 man with only 2 people, the size will be wrong.

I'm hoping to have a beta version ready tomorrow (which may or may not get uploaded) and then a 95% finished version next weekend.

Minas Tirith Epic Battles (v1.4)

For some reason the upload I did for the new version didn't go through - I must not have selected the file to upload it or I didn't select the "update version" so it didn't process correctly, just my text changes did. Hopefully now it should be good to go. Sorry about that!

Potential crash!

Crash probably related to that whole group thing. Fellowship Hammer, w/five of us in the group, ran through nicely most the way (timer for third side quest was early, it was the one w/soldiers you have to stop). After side and both towers were down I, as group leader, removed one person from the target assist fine, then when I went to remove myself crashed to desktop, client just went instantly silent and whooshed away. I typically have a fairly solid experience, so thought I'd let you know this happened.

Again, I know I say this a lot, but thank you so much for all you've done and continue to do providing this vital info to us in such a convenient form! :-)

Hmm yeah, that sounds about right. Adding/removing a person that is running a plugin that uses the party API crashes a fair amount of the time. When Smaug was run a lot, I had a Smaug plugin I used and if someone else in my raid was using it as well and I added/removed them from the target assist window, they would crash. I'll google around, I feel like I remember adding something to Smaug to help prevent it, but I don't remember what it was. Tonight I think I will add a pop-up window asking for confirmation on which instance you are in, and remove the party functions until I get it figured out. One crash is too many in my book.
