Chat Notif
A simple LOTRO plugin to display chat messages larger on your screen.
The source code is available here: https://github.com/EsyArda/ChatNotif/.
Installation guide
- Download the plugin on LotroInterface
- Go to the The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\ folder (for example C:\Users\USER\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\)
- Launch the game and load ChatNotif
Features
- Displays simple notification for chat messages.
- In the Options panel, you can unlock the window to move it around.
- You can select which channels which channels to display.
- You can customize the color for each channel.
- You can change the speed in the Options window. The duration is based on the length of the text.
- Settings can be saved for your character or for the entire account.
- Some additional features are available from the command line. Type `/cn help` to see all available commands.

Lylian, check out Friend Alert plugin....it lets a person choose the color for a number of alerts. Maybe you can use the same type of code/feature.
Put a color option next to each chat type ?

Colors
Is there anyway to match colors of each particular chat type and Chat Notif ?
For example, if my Kin chat is green, when Chat Notif shows me something from Kin, it would also be green.

Thank you for the bug report! I think it is an issue with the french and german clients. It should be fixed but I couldn't test it with an other client to be sure.

Thank you for creating this addon. Being able to put up /emotes and /says is a very nice quality of life improvement. I appreciate it.
Some suggestions:
When /says are posted onscreen, the speaker's name is in a much smaller text and can be hard to make out. Please consider increasing the size.
Adding an audio cue for when text posts on screen would be useful for those times when there are other distractions on the screen, such as open inventory or quest windows. An example audible would be that faint "click" that happens when a quest objective advances.
