The is an almost complete skin of the UI, using the same style from the action bar I recently uploaded.

I decided to try for a full skin, and this is the result!
It's not quite finished yet, and there are some tweaks that are necessary, but I believe it's still finished enough for a release.

1.4 Is here! Many new additions including:
- 2 New variations of the Action bar (a 3 tiered Mini version, and a 4 quickslot biggun!)
- Tabs / Buttons / and many other reskins, due to Aalweins great contribution!
- Various Graphical tweaks and retouches.
- Xml fixes
and probably other things which I can't remember!

1.41 is a quick update that has added in the original hotbar and close buttons which I accidentally left out! Sorry for the inconvenience caused!


Credit goes to AncientWolf for his great Fenrir skin that I used as a template for creating mine, and also to Aalwein for his large contribution with red graphics that helped save me a lot of time!. (Wow that rhymed)

To install:

This is important!
I've created this skin using the resolution 1280 x 1024
If you use a different resolution, please do the following (credit to AncientWolf for working this out )

-1: Unzip the file to My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/
(I've included the ui/skins folders)
-2: After unzipping the file, locate the "Elaborate_mini by Trottimus" folder (ui / skins /)
-3: Next, find the SkinDefinition.xml file, right click it and select Edit.
-4: This should open up notepad with all the coding inside.

Near the top you should find this:

The section in red is the bit you need to change (Don't modify anything else!), so firstly figure out what resolution you're running the game in (easily obtained by going into options > graphics. E.g. 1024x768, 1280x1024, etc.)

Now you'll need to replace the numbers that are highlighted in red.
(It may seem daunting, but don't worry it's not so bad)

For X= Take the width of your resolution and divide the number by 2 then subtract 300 from the result, replace this number with the current one.
(e.g. 1280 / 2 = 640, 640 - 300 = 340)

For Y= Take the Height of your resolution and subtract 145 from it, and replace this number with the current one.
(e.g. 1024 - 145 = 879)

Now, make sure you save it by selecting File > Save. Ensure that you do this, and don't select "Save As" Otherwise you may save it as something other than a .xml file (Meaning the skin just won't work)

If however you use 1280 x 1024 like me, then you don't need to do anything! three cheers!

Now you can load up the skin like normal:

-5: Load up the game, Press Esc to open the menu, and find Options
-6: Go to UI Settings on the right hand side, and scroll all the way down.
-7: In the drop down list entitled "Current
user Skin", select Trottimus's Elaboration or Trottimus's Mini Elaboration
-8: It should be loaded, enjoy!
-9: If it looks a bit funny, and/or you're seeing strange blue squares, log out and then log back in for the UI to update.

Version History:
-1.41: Put back in the original action bar, and the close buttons
-1.4: 2 new bar variations (3 row mini-bar and a massive 4 slot chunky bar!), various graphical additions, xml and visual tweaks / fixes.
-1.3: Released the first mini-bar variation, which has 2 rows of slots instead of the normal one.
- Added new graphical elements, mainly for selections (e.g. Vendor, Skills, Quest Backgrounds)
- Various tweaks to the original Mini-Bar (Alpha channel clean up, so that the edges around the bar look neater and fade out correctly)
- Fixed a graphical problem with the border, the top portion is now the correct weight.
-1.2: New Mini Action bar! Included with the
latest file
-1.1: Released.

- If there are any visible problems with the current UI, or any additions I will make, I will do it as soon as possible, so give me feedback!
- Taking a break for a bit! and waiting for the next patch! (ui scaling)
