Daily Tasks window

Description

Daily Tasks has a database of all known Task Bulletin Boards and the Tasks that they contain. It can not only list these, but can also check your inventory for trophy items and show which items can be turned in to complete tasks (and if one of your alts can use it).

You can also list which trophy items can't be used and can check on individual trophy items. You can even display which items in your inventory can be used by a player of a specified level.

New with version 2, you can now check which mobs drop an item or what items a mob drops (the mob list is still a work-in-progress).

Basic commands:
/dt (Lists all trophy items in inventory and their uses)
/dtu (Lists all trophy items in inventory that are usable)
/dtc (Lists all trophy items in inventory that can complete a task)
/dtx (Lists all trophy items in inventory that are unusable)
/dtj (Lists all trophy items in inventory that are junk)
/dtv (Lists all trophy items in vault and their uses)
/dts (Lists all trophy items in shared storage and their uses)
/dtd (Lists items in shared storage that duplicate bag items)
/dtl (Lists task locations)
/dlz (Lists task zones)
/dtm (lists mobs and what trophies they drop)
/dtp (Lists known player characters)
/dtp <name> (Deletes player name)
/dtp tc (lists tasks to complete by player)
/dtr (Lists reputation codes)
/dtr <code> (displays name for code)
/dtr list (Lists alt chars with kindred rep codes)
/dtb (Move listed items to selected bag)
/dtw (Opens a windowed version of DT)

Option settings:
/dt gr (Toggles Great River location consolidation)
/dt nc (Toggles non-completion location listing)
/dtt (Toggles new trophy item tracking)
/dtp names (Toggles whether alt names are listed)
/dtw rep (opens a window to set rep usage)

Most commands also have optional arguments. Check the ReadMe file for a full list of commands and options.

NOTICE: When installing for the first time, be sure to follow the instructions in the ReadMe file to avoid problems.

This is a significant update for characters under 45. After a report of incorrect level requirements in the Trollshaws, I did some extensive checking and found that not only had the requirements changed there but in several other low-level zones. While I was at it, I also fixed levels displayed for Homestead boards. There may still be some tasks with new level requirements, so if you find any, please report them.

For players with several characters that frequently reach the daily task limit, I've added a "/dtp tc" command. This will list all known characters and how many tasks are left to complete (the count comes from the last /dtc command, so it won't be accurate if you don't check before logging out).

Note: I haven't removed /dtm yet while I wait for more feedback.

Does anyone want me to keep the '/dtm' command? I suspect that it is rarely used and I don't plan on expanding the items that the current data covers due to the time it takes.

Getting rid of it and the associated data would reduce the amount of memory used and improve load time, so unless there are requests to keep it, I'll remove it in the next version.

Aw, this would be a real shame!
I don't know about others, but I love the feature and use it extensively. Not having it in Umbar really made me sad and I even went on alts sometimes just so I could relax for half an hour by doing nothing but killing mobs that I knew would get me task items, because of the command.

Thanks for the report. Lotro updates can change these things and not mention them in the release notes, so I don't find out until I notice discrepancies or someone reports it. I'll do some checking with my lower-level characters, but I may not be able to determine the exact new level requirements.

...Upon making detailed checks, I've found that many other low-level tasks have new level requirements, mostly higher. So this is going to take longer to correct than I expected.

Trollshaws tasks

Hello
I would like to report that my low level 32 character is not able to turn any tasks in Thorenhad (task board is empty), I had specifically fine furs and fine skins. Also at Barachen camp there are less tasks available, I don't see fine furs there. Same situation in homesteads.
My lvl25 also don't see silky filth or hardened carapace.
All of these are marked as min lvl 22 in plugin.
My level 65 character can see them all.
So while I don't know what level is minimum but level 32 is still too low.
Maybe someone else can also check to confirm or deny

Version 4.14 (Lotro update 38)

This is the first new set of tasks in nearly a year, however, even though the level 140 characters entering Western King's Gondor can easily kill many mobs which drop new trophies, these will not be able to be turned in to complete tasks until level 145! Also, they will have to travel to Haradwaith locations to find any task boards (they aren't in Homesteads either).

I think I have the new data correct, but it will be a while before I get a character to level 145 to verify it. So I'll be saving my new trophies until then.

Note: I also fixed a couple of naming errors in the prior version.

Lotro update 38

There is a new set of tasks and I think I got them implemented in beta, but I'm still checking for any last-minute changes. In beta, the new task boards weren't usable until level 145 and were only placed in Haradwaith, so I'm taking a day to verify it is still the same. The new trophy comments say they can be turned in in Outer Gondor, so I'm looking for added boards. In beta, there wasn't a new board added to Homesteads, so I'm checking on that also.

I haven't seen any task boards in the new zone and it looks like the task items are the same, so nothing to update.

All the homestead locations have the same set of task boards so there isn't a listing for each location. This is the reason for the Homestead check box, to indicate that you are at a homestead and completed tasks will show the board # to use to turn it in.

It appears that the Béorthing neighborhood in the Kingstead Meadows Homesteads is not working. DTF won't show any available tasks, and it doesn't appear in the location list.

Version 4.13 (Lotro update 34.1)

This adds the Swanfleet and Cardolan tasks (10 each) and includes several new task materials. There are 9 new boards spread over the two regions. Unfortunately, Swanfleet tasks have no reputation associated with them. I'm not sure if I got the minimum level correct for all the tasks, so let me know if any need to be updated.

I also found an obscure login error in the homestead reputation code (used string.match instead of string.find) that was causing some tasks to display the wrong values.

34.1 adds tasks boards

Lotro update 34.1 added the missing task boards to Cardolan and Swanfleet, so I'll be working on a new release to include these new boards.

The new regions don't appear to drop any new task items and there are no new task boards, so there won't be anything to change.

My Vinny Loader plugin adds a set of small icons in the lower left of the screen that let you load and/or open the window of any of my other plugins with just a click. All of my plugins close their windows when you press the ESC key.

Is there a way to open it and close it using a small toggle in the UI like many other mods?

or is it only via text commands?
