UI Skins are not supported, but plugins have to be explicity reviewed for compliance and added to the list. If I overlook and miss any, I rely on the community to give me a heads up. Thank you very much for informing me of UserChatter. It should now be added.

Re: Re: No windows displayed on Mac
This works, thanks. It is unfortunate, as the downloaded zip still includes a mac specific directory.
Cheers
The version listed here was created using the application bundler provided with an earlier version of MacOS. I can only assume that something has changed that make it no longer compatible from the app launcher. In the same zip file is a folder for linux version. Technically that should work on mac as well but requires you to launch it on the command line.
i.e. java -jar plugincompendium-1.3-full.jar

Hi, I'm using MacOS 10.12.15, Java 1.8.0_131, and Plugin Compendium 1.3 (PC).
I've reinstalled Java and PC.
PC launches OK, but displays no windows. There is a menubar for just the app (no "Windows" menu bar, etc.). In case the window displays off screen, I've tried:
1) Checking if it's on another virtual desktop; it wasn't.
2) Reset screen resolution to force windows to redefault location.
3) Looked at the plist file for PC, nothing mentioned window position or size.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, let's report that v1.3 works just fine on my setup (Linux Mint 17 + OpenJDK).

Silly difference
I just noticed that V1.1 is spelled:
Plugin Compendium.app -- while 1.3 is spelled
PluginCompendium.app (i.e. no space)

ARGH Apple can be annoying
Annoying. . .
It seems that AFTER upgrading to Yosemite AND again AFTER upgrading to El Capitan open must re-install Java!
Now running with Java 8-73, and everything appears to work fine.

LOL - Plugin Compendium won't update itself :)
LPC doesn't update itself.
Unless I'm missing something -- I got the notification from LOTROINTERFACE that Version 1.3 of LOTRO Plugin Compendium (Mac / Linux) was available.
(Interestingly I never got a notification for 1.2.)
So I did a quick launch of 1.1 to let it update... guess what - no LPC update. -- so I guess that's an enhancement request! (Self update capability)
So I downloaded the package -- OOPS Gatekeeper strikes again:
“PluginCompendium.app” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."
Not a biggie -- just add to the "Read Me" under Mac:
If you get a pop-up from Apple's Gatekeeper stating:
“PluginCompendium.app” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."
1- Click OK
2- Open -- System Preferences/Security & Privacy
3- In the general tab you should see near the bottom:
"PluginCompendium.app" was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer.
and a button "Open Anyway"
Clicking that button will allow it to run, this time and in the future.
4- You will then get another pop-up:
"PluginCompendium.app is an application downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?
Click "Open."
=====
All of that said -- I now have to figure out which JRELoaderror is being thrown.
Version 1.1 continues to work fine, but not 1.3
I'm running El Capitan 10.11.3

I apologize. It looks like the updated version I uploaded the other day, had the correct Mac version, but the linux one was missing the security fixes. The copy I had local to my PC was working properly.
Thank you all for reporting the problem.

I can't get PluginCompendium (version 1.2) to work. No matter what plugin I try to install / upgrade, it says: "Unable to install XXX. Please try again later. (it is likely being updated on lotrointerface).
I don't see any error / warning messages on terminal, is there a way to turn on more reporting?

It is doing this to me as well. I'll see what I can do.

This is one of those yes and no situations.
Yes, the API for pluginompendium is working again.
No, the download information for some?many plugins is not correct (i.e. is failing).
I have more than 20 plugins I randomly use and monitor. Some update and some do not.
A good example is Combat Analysis -- it is highlighted to be updated, but generates the 403 error for: . . . download881
I know that this particular Plugin has been moved, reworked, renamed, etc. over time and was just recently updated as I got an email from lotrointerface about CA. I can download it directly from the app page, but not from the compendium.
The question is obviously -- where is this information maintained?
Is it the entry in the file CombatAnalysis.plugincompendium (which shows download881) or is there a lotrointerface permissions issue?
|
You are correct. There was a permission error. I uploaded a new version last nigt that is able to download to download w/o getting the 403 error. Please test that if you would. Thanks

I tried substituting that url in the configuration tab, and got the exact same message. This is frustrating! Any other ideas? I am not a tech person, so I struggle with these things.
