Thanks for the speedy add!

So...I have a suggestion. If I'm viewing the list of my installed plugins and I see that some of them have updates, it would be extremely convenient to provide a link right there to take me to the plugin info page to see what changed. I don't usually like installing new versions blindly.

Also, a question. "Turbine Examples" I understand to be a special case. I have it showing up as having a pending update, with v1.1 locally and v1.0 listed as the latest version. Is this hard-coded in the tool, and if so, could you bump up the latest version number so that the highlighting goes away?

add new plugin: KillTracker

I hadn't played with this yet, but a user request to add Plugin Compendium support to my new plugin prompted me to check it out...nice work lunarwtr!

KillTracker has no dependencies, but I created a .plugincompendium file in v0.9.3 anyways. Can you please get it added to the database? Let me know if there are any issues, and thanks!

Nice work! Thank you for this tool - it helps me a lot.

But think about the update check for the plugins again.

Iy you try to update, the *.plugin an *.plugincompendium file will be deleted even if the update fails, because of waiting for approval by an admin. Trying to update later again isn't possible anymore.

I hope you understand, what I mean...

Most excellent utility. Thanks!

In Windows 8, the installer throws up a "Windows Smartscreen" warning because the publisher is set as "Unknown Publisher". Likely, setting it to "Lunarwater" will fix that. I'd be happy to re-test for you.

Otherwise, this works well in Win8 x64.
Thank you for the feedback. Wow! Windows 8 already? Next build I'll see if I left these unset, but I'm not sure I did. I think what this error refers to has to do with code signing. To properly code sign I have to pay money for a legit certificate, and its not cheap. If this ends up being the case, then we might just have to live with "unknown publisher".

Thumbs up Re: Re: Re: Re: Help Please

When you cut and paste the "Favorites" url under configuration tab into your browser, does it load? Do you use a proxy service by chance? LPC is a .net application and it should follow your proxy settings (if you use any) under "Internet Options". If they are set, are you able to temporarily disable and try? Another thing to try, although I do not think it is necissary, try right clicking on LPC icon and doing a "Run as Administrator". Does the problem still occur?

How about adding an optional configuration field to specify the root folder for the .zip file? This would solve many .zip file structure issues. If you'd be willing to do that, I'll add your configuration file to all my plugins.
Definetly room to do something like this in the future.

Although, I'd like to encourage all authors to consider supporting LPC. I've made it fairly painless. Most plugins are inherently supported, and LPC can take care of the rest. That said, deviations from the typical plugin folder structure in zip packages make this difficult. Thankfully, this isn't a common problem. Only a few authors have plugins like this, and I've tried to contact them all.

Support helps increase player community's ability to explore the great work the Lotro LUA communities work, and participate in the LUA plugin beta. Added interest in this area by player base could encourage Turbine to focus more attension there-in. And for what its worth, when I add each author's plugin to the data feed, I do so by clicking "Favorite". Its a win all around.
