DEQUIP
2015-10-27: dequip is no longer supported since Update 17 added the ability to disable weapon visuals from the cosmetic system. The API never added features making re-equipping viable, so the cosmetic system is the best way to have the visuals you want and not occasionally charge into battle with no weapons at the ready.
Are you in Hobbiton and don’t want to look like you’re expecting a goblin attack? This very simple plugin will unequip your weapons, shields, and class items. No more fumbling around with your inventory or swapping in a lute and a fishing pole to clear your implements of war.
Dequip un-equips the secondary weapon (or shield), primary weapon, ranged weapon, and class item in that order given enough free inventory space for the unequipped items. It can dequip some or all of those slots. Using dequip may grey out skills since some classes require items to use their skills (e.g., rune-keepers and lore-masters). Make sure to reequip your weapons, shields, and class items before going into battle!
Rune-keepers, please note that when your satchels are unequipped, your current cosmetic outfit may include a satchel and will still appear on your character. Cosmetic outfits that don’t include cosmetically equipped satchels will properly show no satchel if that is the desired resuilt.
Thanks to Garan and his unequipper plug-in for inspiring me to finally write this!
EXAMPLES
To drop everything, use dequip without any arguments:
/dequip
Say a hunter has two daggers, a bow, and a book equipped. To un-equip only the daggers, type this:
/dequip drop ps
The equivalent of dropping everything using the drop action looks like this:
/dequip drop psrc
SHORTCUTS
A shortcut copies a chatbox command into a quickslot. Typing the following command will replace whatever is in the first quickslot bar with a dequip command to drop only the currently equipped primary and secondary weapons/shields:
/shortcut 1 /dequip drop ps
