Skirmish Tracker v1.2 in action
|
|
A very simple replacement to a scrap of paper to record which skirmish raids you've done this week, spurred on by how messy my desk is
Simple tick boxes, a save button (although I think it auto saves) and a Reset All button, which unchecks all the tick boxes.
The command to show/hide the skirmish tracker is /sktr
I don't really understand LUA but I did muck about with Paulino's Pet Carousel to get it working how I like and on the official forums Garan kindly posted a guide of how to start writing a LUA plugin so thanks to Paulino & Garan.
And a big thanks to Koios for providing the French & German translations
New in Version 1.2
German & French Translation - Thanks again Koios
Now includes the Helegrod raids
And /sktr will now show/hide the window

I like this, but what's the command to open the window? I tried /SkirmishTracker and other variations to no avail.

I think I can answer that one...
Line 86 through 92 of the code read:
Code:
SkirmishTrackerCommand = Turbine.ShellCommand();
function SkirmishTrackerCommand:Execute( command, arguments )
skirmWindow:SetVisible( true );
end
Turbine.Shell.AddCommand("sktr", SkirmishTrackerCommand);
Which afaik means that typing /sktr opens the window up. From what I can tell it's not a toggle, but an "open only" command, so close it by using the X button on top right.

Thank's Koios I knew I had forgotten something.
Yes /sktr will show the window, close is via the X button top right.
I should make it toggle but I was lazy which is why it's /sktr and not /skirmishtracker

Hallo,
nice Plugin!
Here´s a List of The German skirmishnames if you plan to make an Version where you can choose the Language.
Code:
skirmWindow:SetText("Scharm\195\188tzel\195\188bersicht");
-- List of skirmishes probably should put this in it's own file
-- Ahh the dreaded do arrays start at 0 or 1 seems to start at 0 if you use [] and 1 otherwise
skirmishes={
"Die Bruinenfurt",
"Die Belagerung von Gondamon",
"\195\132rger in Buckelstadt",
"Das Gefecht am Amon Sul",
"Schlag gegen Dannenglor",
"Besch\195\188tzer von Thangulhad",
"Der Druchbruch am Tor...",
"Der Angriff auf das Versteck...",
"Der Kampf im Turm",
"Die Verteidigung des Ponys",
"Dieberei und Unheil",
"Rettung in Nurz Ghashu",
"Der Kampf um den Tiefweg",
"Weg der Schmiedemeister",
"Der Kampf um die 21. Halle",
"Die eisige Kluft",
"Angriff bei Morgengrauen"
};
Regards, Utgar

I took the liberty of cleaning up the previously posted (very valuable!!) information. Hope Utgar doesn't mind... it's just that I noticed some inconsistencies with the names as they actually appear in-game. Again, I don't mean to upset or criticise, far from it! Great to see more ppl helping out! Just want to improve even further, that's all
Also, I'm not sure why you used UTF-8 codes for some of the special characters (afaik there's no need to manually enter them) but I used the characters themselves - if needed, I listed them at the bottom with their respective codes so you can copy-paste easily if I'm wrong about this
Code:
skirmWindow:SetText("Scharmützelübersicht");
-- List of skirmishes probably should put this in it's own file
-- Ahh the dreaded do arrays start at 0 or 1 seems to start at 0 if you use [] and 1 otherwise
skirmishes={
"Die Bruinenfurt",
"Die Belagerung von Gondamon",
"Ärger in Buckelstadt",
"Das Gefecht am Amon Sul",
"Schlag gegen Dannenglor",
"Beschützer von Thangulhad",
"Der Durchbruch am Tor des Geisterbeshwörers",
"Der Angriff auf das Versteck der Ringgeister",
"Der Kampf im Turm",
"Die Verteidigung des 'Tänzelnden Ponys'",
"Dieberei und Unheil",
"Rettung in Nûrz Ghâshu",
"Der Kampf um den Tiefweg",
"Der Kampf um den Weg der Schmiede",
"Der Kampf um die Einundzwanzigste Halle",
"Die Eisige Kluft",
"Angriff bei Morgengrauen"
};
Should you wish to add Barrow-Downs Survival as well (I'm not sure it has a weekly timed quest), it's called "Überleben: Hügelgräberhöhen"
If you add Helegrod in the future, the wings are named (in the order as they appear on the Instance Join panel):
"Helegrod: Drachen-Trakt" (dragon wing)
"Helegrod: Drachenbrut-Trakt" (drake wing)
"Helegrod: Riesen-Trakt" (giant wing)
"Helegrod: Spinnen-Trakt" (spider wing)
And here's the UTF-8 codes for the special characters in the above bits, should you need them:
ä = \195\164
Ä = \195\132
ü = \195\188
Ü = \195\156
ö = \195\182
Ö = \195\150
û = \195\187
â = \195\162
Don't have the French client downloaded and my French is a little rusty, but I should have enough time to have a look at it tomorrow for you - if I'm confident enough that I'm providing reliable data I'll post it here

Just uploaded v1.1 which includes the German translations, just to say thanks and as an experiment to see how locale settings work
Just realised in my haste I forgot to change the button text
Just so I don't embarrass myself any further or offend any French or German speakers I will leave the buttons in English until someone provides me the translations as my knowledge of languages + Google Translate is a dangerous thing

For the buttons... Save is "Speichern" and Reset All would be "Neustart"
Didn't have time to get the French client sorted today, I'll leave the launcher to update tonight after I log off.

Thanks Koios.
I have v1.2 already to go once you've done the hard work of providing me the French equivalents
Buttons & window title now multi-lingual, plus added Helegrod raids to list too.

Taking the previously posted German translation list as a template, I've grabbed the French names you need. UTF-8 codes at the bottom. I'll see about the translations for the buttons ("Save" and "Reset All") later, but perhaps someone else whose understanding of the French language is snappier than mine can chime in on that
The window title is simply the French word for "skirmishes" - unsure exactly how to translate "Skirmish Raid Tracker". Again, maybe a native speaker could be of more help.
Code:
skirmWindow:SetText("Escarmouches");
-- List of skirmishes probably should put this in it's own file
-- Ahh the dreaded do arrays start at 0 or 1 seems to start at 0 if you use [] and 1 otherwise
skirmishes={
"Gué de Bruinen",
"Siège de Gondamon",
"Trouble à Bourg de Touque",
"La défense d'Amon Sûl",
"Attaque contre Dannenglor",
"Protecteurs de Thangulhad",
"Forcer la porte du Nécromancien",
"A l'assaut de l'antre des Spectres de l'Anneau",
"La bataille dans la tour",
"Défense du Poney Fringant",
"Méfaits et brigandages",
"Sauvetage à Nûrz Ghâshu",
"Bataille de la Voie des Tréfonds",
"Bataille de la Voie des Forgerons",
"Bataille de la vingt et unième salle",
"La Crevasse glacée",
"Attaque à l'aube"
};
Barrow-Downs Survival is called "Survie : Hauts des Galgals"
Helegrod wings are named (in the order as they appear on the Instance Join panel):
"Helegrod: aile de dragon" (dragon wing)
"Helegrod: aile de drake" (drake wing)
"Helegrod: aile de géant" (giant wing)
"Helegrod: aile d'araignée" (spider wing)
UTF-8 codes for the special characters in the above bits:
à = \195\160
á = \195\161
è = \195\168
é = \195\169
û = \195\187
â = \195\162
Cut me in for 25% of the proceeds

Hehe... no worries. And let's not make a big thing out of it, that was hardly "hard work". Only had to patch client to French version, log in, and copy (by hand!! horrible!!) the names in the Ctrl-J window
But I guess laziness scales to level

Very nice thanks.
One suggestion I have, can you please sort the Skirmishes according to campaign they belong to? Also with its name.
For example:
Adlan campaign
Thievery and mischief
Defence of prancing pony
Odothuilan campaign
Attack at Dawn
The icy crevasse
etc.
I think it will be even more helpful as the time goes, once people stop farming them for s4m and start farming them for teal loot. Because the loot tables are campaign specific.
