Re: Re: Re: Re: HOW do I save my settings????
Hmmm, a couple of additional questions. First, which client language do you use, English (EN), German (DE) or French (FR) and have you ever switched client languages?
A: I use the English one, and never used another
Second, I notice you posted about having trouble with other plugins after a crash and recovery last year. Did you have Wallet installed prior to the crash?
A: I can't really remember that. I think I used Wallet then, I use it for a long time now.
It may be simplest to manually delete all of the possible settings and default settings files (there are many in several subdirectories due to multiple language possibilities) and start over. With Windows 8.1, you can use File Explorer to search the plugindata folder for "wallet*.plugindata" and delete all results.
I will try that! Tnx.

I run about 15 plugins, and no problem with saving data on others. OS is Win8.1. And I only use one client at a time.
What I did before was uninstalling the plugin via the compendium, and removing it manually (delete the folders in Plugin/plugindata folder), and the adding it again via the compendium.

Settings are saved automatically. There are a number of reasons why they might not save correctly. The most likely issue is a permissions problem with the folder where plugins save .plugindata files. I need some additional info to try to help. First, what operating system are you using? Second, have you been able to save settings/files from any other plugins? Third, do you run multiple simultaneous clients - i.e. do you run more than one character at once?

It shows in Compact/Character Order because Compact has no effect in Character Order (which is in the plugin description). Basically, in Float Order, Compact is just filtering out all of the other character entries and since there's no entry for this character it doesn't show (currencies with 0 quantity don't exist in the in-game wallet).
I'm looking into options...

I prefer to use compact/Currency order. It makes the window very similiar to the in game wallet and gives me the capability to see all my character data by mousing over an object.
How about for simplicity purposes, when information is applied to the filter (anything other then empty/null in the filter field). It will toggle to a mode that shows items that are zero based for that character so when filter is applied you can see items that other characters have but this particular one does not.
Thanks for considering this

If I change my sort to Character then it will show me the items.
Not sure if this is the way it is designed to work.

That's actually working as intended as there is no "search", rather a "filter". The filter will restrict results but will not show what is not there. You can see 0 quantity currencies by turning off compact mode (assuming at least one other character has a non-zero quantity). This prevents the display from being cluttered with a lot of 0 quantity currencies - basically, this allows the compact mode to mimic the way the in-game wallet works by hiding 0 quantity currencies. I am considering adding an option to display 0 quantities in compact mode or at least when the filter is non-blank.

You're welcome, I hope you find it useful. The sort feature is still subject to change. The Float Order display option seems to be useful but I'm not really satisfied with the way the Currency Order and Character Order display looks/works. However, there are a couple of other significant projects on the ToDo list, one of which is nearing completion so I probably won't get back to this for a while.

You are the second person to ask for a windowed version instead of the floating displays. It might be a fairly simple thing to add, I'll have to consider the best way to integrate this with the existing display options.

I am not looking to track high or lows. Just want to be able to say who has X landscape tokens so I can go and barter for journal recipes for example.
Thanks for your reply in advance

For character bound currencies, you can just hover the mouse over the amount display and it will show a pop-up detail window with total and per character amounts. There is also an option in the setup window to always display the total below the amount per currency (I usually just use this for Gold). In the second sample image (right side of plugin description above) it shows the mouse hovering over the amount of Silver Tokens with the detail displayed.
