How are you activating the gambit itself? For the plugin to "Hear" the gambit go off it must be by using a keybind - I use the middle mouse button. /WI Keys can be used to redefine the keys you use.

You're right, I guess with your explanation that WardenIndicator does not "hear" correctly end of gambit, keybind is not mapped.
I'm using 1/2/3 for Spear/Shield/Fist and 4 for Gambit Activation, I'll try "/WI keys" command tonight to map my custom keybind, thank you=]

There really is no helping this class. Pure memorization of combinations of the numbers 1-4 makes for a playstyle that in no way resembles fun. Comtemplating deleting my 14 and saving me a lot of headache or is there a way to make it easer other than this mod that doesn't work!?

Please, please - ensure you read the Plugins description before trying to run it? It says quite clearly above that Deusdictums dragbar is required.

And as for wardens - yes a lot of memorisation is required. Reminds me of the good old days playing Streetfighter!

I got it working. I think it must comflict with wardenease or something. Either way great addon.

I am starting to really like the Warden class too. It just takes a bit of thought and research more than other classes. This can be a source of frustration but ultimately I think its its the classes streangth. Its different, its complex, not just remember a bar of skills, but combinations of basic attacks to unlock finishers. Thanks for all yoru work on this, you've made the learning curve less steep than it was :P

EDIT: I spoke to soon.. I just had to delete Gambit Helper completely and it worked. Thanks for the awesome addon =)

For some reason when I try to load it it says "Unable to Load Warden Indictator." I'm not sure why, i don't have any addons that I know of that would conflict with it. I have the required addons (Turbine plugins, Dragbar) so this is just confusing. The only addons that MIGHT conflict are: Busybee or Gambit Helper (Which I disabled and tried again with no luck).

My question is this. Do you know what the problem could be? Why won't it load?

Ok Guys, big update.

Now, this is an ALPHA update - using the new warden features it no longer requires you to use keypresses. Indeed, it removes a lot of what was "wrong" with this plugin in the first place.

I need playtesters though!

Overflow

I've just installed the latest version and at the bottom of the list I get "Overflow! Too many!" I'm level 42. I see 22 gambits and we're at overflow. I have 25 (or 26) gambits on my skills tab.

Is there a limit in the add-on less than total # of gambits available?

I'm not sure how feasible this might be, but could a options setup establish which gambit I want to see and thereby limit the list?

I solo exclusively and do not need the threat generating gambits, for example.

Yes, /WI option allows you to set which gambits appear as well as change the height of the window.

The left hand slot is now a shortcut and can be clicked. This is an experimental feature. Does this make the plugin unacceptable? Just because something can be done - should it? Does this turn the Warden into whack-a-mole?

I do not believe clickers could be as effective as button pushers anyway...

Builders Icons

edit: just figure out by accident the scaling, didnt know its there ...so maybe if you can give me a hint how to work out all the icons (even those first-left "to cast/click") to look like red,green,yellow symbols i can try it myself..
edit2: when i click the button set size to 16. it gives me an error..value nil..failed to write..not at the pc right now but can copy it here later
edit3: the fault: ...e\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\WardenIndicator\Option s.lua:247: attempt to call global 'ChangeSize' (a nil value)

hey, i really appreciate the work on this addon. works much more better than the others (so far), and its realy simple as it should be.

but i would have one idea to improve - the builders icons (its actualy turbine/codemasters flaw but you know..). you know that in the gambit overview and skill description there are 3 small symbols with different colors - thats good...but in quickslots there are 3 almost same looking icons..so if you use this gambit-build-help (cause like me you dont remember all the combinations), you have to look closely to recognize which builder to cast..

what i want to say..would be much better if the builders were represented by the 3 different colors symbols (easier to recognize just by quick look etc...)
1) problem - i tried to change it myself..but so far couldnt change the behaviour for the first-left icon...changed only the upcoming builders - will try again and then post the result..if i will do anything actualy (new to the lua scripts)
2) problem - the symbols come with too low resolution - doesnt have to be issue as the panel/relative scale of plugin could be set to smaller so the icons wouldnt have to be so big - wouldnt have to look ugly they are lets say acceptable even in 24x24 (yours now by default have 32x32 as the default turbine quickslots icons) -not problem anymore, see edit

also now even if i choose only some gambits its too large on the screen - wouldnt may be such a problem if i could click through (yeah i know its because the "clickable" icon feature - but that wont help people to remember gambits builds imho)

just an idea which i think can help maybe some people

p.s. i already have taken a look about others gambit helpers..but:
they dont work as well as your plugin..
they have the small icons/symbols - which is great, but also too small )
and they dont have the categories which is the best feature imho (also with the auto-filtering etc)

Crickey! Big post, lots for me to work on - afraid I am not so well right now and have a shed load of work to do. I will look into all of this over the weekend.

Shorter note; changing the graphics - go to Resources/32 and change them there. Make sure they are 32x32.

Will look at the rest of the errors/feature requests this weekend!
