No worries Please just IMHO work on getting an update/bug fix. I have been able to use the affected panels. If you have need of someone to help flesh out any bugs prior to posting a fix contact me through PM. More than willing to help

I'll post up a patch soon to fix a number of misbehaving panels by disabling any modifications to them for now, at least until I get an chance to see if the next game update introduces anymore changes.

The patch will also remove the travel background image, and fix the alignment issue between player and opponent vitals.

I am still keeping an eye out for when the new art pack and asset id's are released and I'll do what I can to get the skin updated shortly after that.

My preference is to update the lot in one go.

Cool TY for informational update... will try and be a patient end-user . I have to be patient as a someone working in IT Networking.. its always the programmers that have the hard task of making the programs.. its the Networking guys/gals who catch the < insert ur fav 4 letter word> for it not working right.... LMAO

I really like this UI and would very much like to use it. I have one small problem..I can't read the notes & letters. Is there anyway to change the background color from green to a lighter color? The font, for me, is unreadable with the black on dark green background.

Just a quick heads-up ...

I am still working on this, I"ll post a patch in the next couple of days that fixes the border rendering issue on a number of panels and lightens the background for the panels requested by Skarlett.

Hopefully we'll see a new artwork pack soon and things can get back to the way they should be.

Deed tabs in 2.4.2 background is shifting when you hover over them... that is the only bug I have discovered.

My toolbar shifts significantly to the right every time I log in with this skin active, any way I can change that?

LOL, sadly that's my artistically inept attempt at providing some sort of feedback when you rollover the tabs.

I'll keep working on them and hopefully improve them over time.

Just to confirm, you've run the batch file to set the skin for your resolution ? And I will be AFK for the next couple of days so I'll try to help more with this one when I get back.

Any comments on the NPC chat background and how it looks would be welcome.

I'm a UI skin noob I guess, didn't know about it but I did run it now and it works great. I do have 2 major beefs with your skin though; the bar that tells you the amount of gold and DP you have looks goofy and misconfigured, and any buffs on another player after the first row will not display the effect of the buff or debuff when you hover over them.

Well i absolutely love this skin, its simply perfect in almost every way, its sleek but stylish and fits with the game. Thanks for making this available to us.

The one problem i have with it though is that my portrait keeps growing when i enter or leave a door/instance, for example the crafter's hall. This happens everytime i leave or enter a door so after a few times i have this massive portrait
I have it on the right resolution by using that brilliant batch program.

Any idea what could cause this? It's ruining the game for me atm.





And the NPC window is great, i wouldnt change it

in general I really like the file. unfortunately is doesn't work to well on my machine. I am running a laptop with 1600x900 display, and i have the following problems.

Player vitals and opponent vitals do not match up. The portrait and health/mana meters are outside the boxes.

The hotbar button had red and blue dots in place of the store and system buttons.

Odd part is that a couple days ago I went in and made a minor change and it worked great for a day. What ever that change was, it changed again and now the ui is messed up again.

Good job though. I have been an admirer of the Tking/Drakah/Kuvasie uie every since eq1

Let's see how many probs we can address / fix in one post

1. Mandros (thx for the PM and screenie) and Barry068, I'm still looking into the issue you both describe. If you could paste the contents of your skindefinition file in a PM along with resolution settings it would be appreciated. Brain fade at my end, can you folks just make sure that you've selected the skin then exited and re-entered the game for the changes to stick

2. Bombadil411, the money and DP bars are something I hope to fix in the not too distant future - so hopefully real soon. With the buffs I think I've found the culprit so that should disappear soon also. If you're happy to try editing the skindef file yourself then the entry for "OpponentEffectDisplay" Height needs to be '180' and you should be good.

The other possibility is another UI element sitting over that part of the Opponent frame.

3. Sherm, basically no idea what's causing this, but I did manage to replicate the issue and have a workaround for you. It involves hiding your player vitals while you set the UI element sizes where you want them then unhiding the player vitals.

I do have a very basic LUA plugin that can handle the hiding / unhiding for you if your interested - other than that I have no idea how to fix this one short of disabling 3D portraits sorry.
