Hm, the more info you give, the better. For example, are you having the problem with just one class (which one) or with every class? Have you tried deleting the file KragenBarsSettings.plugindata in the character-data-folder? Oh, and are you using the english client?

If you resize a bar smaller than the location of a skill (ie. you have a skill in 4,1 and you make the bar a 3,1), then that skill does get removed from the bar. However, you should be able to drag that skill from your Skills Panel (K) back to any KragenBar. A few classes do use some bars that cannot be modified (like Guardian Block/Parry/Overpower and Burglar crit chain); but Champion doesn't have any of these types of bars. All bars on Champion should be editable w/ any skill.

In order to verify the state (locked or no) of your bars, rt. click on the KB button. You can unlock the bars directly from that menu.

You are correct that Second Wind is no longer a Defeat Response, however, I left it and Heroics on that bar because that is where everyone is used to them being located. They show all the time now instead of hiding after using the Defeat Response, but they are still on that bar. This was as much due to muscle memory as backward compatibility. However, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to customize it if you like.

So in my haste to fix it I only looked at one aspect (where the skill was located), and forgot all about the code to determine visible state. Sorry.

v5.06 should fix that. Seriously this time.

I don't know what the deal w/ Block Tier 2 was all about as I was unable to reproduce a problem with Block and I didn't mess w/ any of the code for Block.

Problem with Custom Bars

Hi there,

Hm, im really sorry, but this made things even worse :-(

If i use my old plugindata, Improved Whirling Retaliation doesnt show up as a tier 1 parry reaction but greyed out as a tier 2 after using Retaliation (or IWR out of the standard bar).

OK, I think I see that it didn't like the way I moved the skill around at that point in the plugin. So I used a different method to move the skill that I'm hoping will be more stable. Since I only have 1 Guardian and he is less than 70, I'm afraid I couldn't put a lot of testing behind this... but uploaded anyway.

I have fixed the issue by going to the location of this character's KaragenBarsSettings.plugindata file and deleting it. I then loaded KragenBars in-game and it works, but you must re-position your buttons on the screen.
Out of curiosity, how long has it been since you updated your KB version? The code at 511 should only have executed if your KB plugindata was less than version 4.00. I'm glad that you were able to work around the problem... probably 80% of peoples' issues relate to the plugindata file and conversion between versions. In fact, on some of the classes, the plugindata conversion code takes up nearly half of the code for the class.

Oh, I'd be completely happy with just having any of the normal skills on KragenBars - the gambit builders and directly related skills are completely fine on the main hotkey bar, which I use for the basic combat skills in all other classes as well (as I would expect most other people do). And I believe DigitalUtopia has a very good point with his stance on not recreating features that are perfectly covered by other plugins, such as WardenIndicator and Gambit Helper in this case.

That being said, it's the other features of KragenBars that I dearly miss while on my warden - stance selectors, dimming/hiding, logical grouping and the ability to move those groups anywhere on the screen I like... You get the idea, you guys have made all that great stuff after all.

I swear, one of these days I'll dig into Lua enough to be of more use...

Oh, I'd always wanted to do the Warden in the KB fashion, but we encounted a lot of technical problems. Firstly we couldn't put the Gambits themselves on the KB bars or really even gather anything much about them programmatically (not much of the Gambit backend is presented to LUA). Another large hurdle is that neither KragenWar or I had a warden so neither of us could really determine, based on experience, what would be useful to a Warden. And finally, by the time we finished up with everything else and put some thought to it, there were a few other plugins that successfully did whatever we'd thought about implementing. So I'm sorry to say at this point I don't see Warden coming to KB any time soon.

v5.04 - Moved around Guardian Parry skills. Moved Whirling Retaliation to the left of Parry Tier 2 (swapped places with Overwhelm), so that at 70, the skill just slides to Parry Tier 1 in the exact same spot. I think I accounted for most normal scenarios, but if you moved the 3 Parry Tier 2 skills around it might not like it.
