I would like to make a feature request for a future version of BuffBars. I would love to be able to create multiple buff and debuff windows and assign buffs/debuffs to specific windows (right-click, and the options include "move to [name of window]"). I play a warden, and I would be ecstatic if I could have a buff window specifically for showing my self-applied buffs, and a second window for buffs applied by others.

A second debuffs window could be used, for example, to show high-priority debuffs, such as the LT fight's eyes.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you didn't uncheck something in the options accidentally or add them to the ignore list. You can pm me the settings file and I can take a look at it if all else fails.

I've found a bug in the lua system where an effect will sometimes return a category value that isn't defined in EffectCategory. That is what causes this error. A couple effects in BG do this same thing.

You can already created multiple windows to do this exact thing. For example on my RK I setup a specific rk buffs bar along with another debuff bar. It just takes a little time to configure them the way you need. Basically for the rk buffs I just made an effect window that shows buffs only and then started ignoring effects I didn't want to see on it. I was finally left with only the relevant rk buffs.

I do like the move-to idea so that you can move one effect to a different bar or even copy it. That would make it easier to get bars setup.

Hi,
from a fresh install of Buffbars in the EU client (new client in Europe for the F2P), Buffbars is correctly loaded. But after if want to load BuffBars, i have an error :
"...Online\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\Settin gs.lua:11: Unable to parse file!"

The file is present, and with "processmonitor" i see that the file is open.

It seems to be an error inside the BuffBarsSettings.plugindata because if i use an older version (["version"] = 4.000000) of BuffBarsSettings.plugindata (from a US client), the plugin is correctly loaded.
When i try to use the newest version of BuffBarsSettings.plugindata (["version"] = 5,000000) i have an error.

EDIT : i've try all versions (from 1.0 to 1.1.3) and the error is still the same.
EDIT 2 : I find the solution ! = because in EU the ',' is used for decimal separation... in the EU config file the ',' is used, in the US config file the '.' is used. And lua doesn't know how to handle this.
For exemple :
["visibleType"] = 1,000000, (in EU)
["visibleType"] = 1.000000, (in US)

Now the next question is how to fix it ?

What happens when you rename or delete the BuffBarsSettings.plugindata and then load/unload/load the plugin. Does it work as expected?

Hi, i have the same problem with the EU Beta Client
...\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\Settings.lua: 11: Unable to parse file!

After deleting the file you mentioned, it works.

P.S.: Forgot to mention that this Plugin is really great!

Hi I am a German and I beta testers now on the German Beta servers tested your plugin! When you first load the Palantir works great! is a great part! reloging but after the char to another I get an error message! Can it makes it little different from the U.S. version of the EU-Version (German) are available? Error message: ... Online \ Plugins \ PengorosPlugins \ BuffBars \ Settings.lua: 11: Unable to parse file!
If I delete the folder Plugin.Data, it works again! but I must delete the data for it again and again!
Do you have an idea on what to do it? or can I change in the Main.luna yourself what?
Will there be a version in German?

Awesome Mod - thank you thank you thank you. I missed so much a good display of Buffs and Debuffs in LOTRO...

As mentioned in other posts we are facing some problems here with the EU client. Hopefully a solution can be found. I am talking about the buffbarsettings.plugindata file...

I have some problems with the Cooldown Display. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Is there any way to display the cooldown of spells? Like "there is a spell I can use every 30 seconds". Can you show the icon of that spell in the cooldown bar counting down from 30?

A feature for the future?: Does the LOTRO lua allow to diplay buffs put on a target? For example - a runekeeper has a healing spell which stacks 3 times. It would be great to have that displayed on a target and/or maybe a focus target...
Just an idea...

The Buffbars do not work completly with the changes upcoming with the November Update. I am not able to even load it with the changes.

Unfortunately the saving/loading of plugin data is controlled by turbine. If it isn't working correctly I would suggest filing a bug report. There isn't anything I can do on my end to fix the comma in the numbers problem, sorry.

There was someone who contacted me about translating the plugin into German so there may be a future version with that support.

The api to support these features isn't yet available but once they are you should be able to do this kind of thing.
