Problems fixed

Thank you all so much for bearing with me. I feel like such a bonehead. All I had to do was log out and log back in like you said. Again many thanks and all my toons will be sporting your skin!

No problem timberbear60, thank you for your reply :-)

And Knatty, it seems you loaded the skin but didn't relog. Remember to logout and login again after selecting a new skin. Then the game will position the skin according to the skindefinition file.

Also the "/ui layout load RayV2normalleft" gives an error. Please check if the file "RayV2Normalleft.layout" is extracted to C:\Users\Weoos\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\UI\Layouts\" correctly. If you type that sentence (/ui layout load RayV2normalleft) in the chat window, it will also automatically load the correct skin and positions of the UI elements.
But if the problem is fixed by relogging, don't worry about loading the layout :P

For other readers: The layout folder should be extracted to C:\Users\"Your Username"\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\UI\

Best regards,
Ray

Edit: Keli, you are too fast for me :P

Re: picture of problem

I'm going to state the obvious here, but did you log out and back in before taking that screeny?

Hi Ray, here is the picture up loaded from image shack. Thanks for the link for that.

http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/1...nshot00036.jpg

as you can see in the screeny, everything is jumbled up and if you look in the chat box you can read two attempts made and failed at typing in the load manually. Don't know why it's doing this when it works fine on the one toon. Hope this helps.

Thanks

Not a big issue, but I appreciate the quick response. Still going to use it and try your solution. I love the the no buttons layout, it makes for a nice clean UI. Great job! Thanks again.

Hey guys,

@timberbear60: That is a bug of LOTRO. It's there for more than a year already (since LOTRO came out?) but Turbine hasn't fixed it... What I do: place a non-consumable in the first slot (like map home). Every time I log in, I press that button (even though I can't see it, but I know the position) and then cancel the map home by moving.
I can't help you with fixing that

@Knatty: It's a bit difficult for me to visualize the problem ;-)
If you go to http://imageshack.us/ and upload your screenshot there and paste the direct-link you get after uploading in a reply here, I can see what's going wrong.
Else, try to type "/ui layout load RayV2NormalLeft" for all your characters which have the problem... It reloads the UI and positions the bars etc. correct.
I'm curious what the problem is

Cheers,
Rainier

Smile Alts problems

Hi again Ray, sorry to bother. I did read your post and that helped bunches. Now I like this skin so much I want it for all my toons, but when I try to load it for them it loads all screwy. I wish I could post a picture to show you what I mean but I don't know how lol, noob. So what is happeining is, the auto attack eye is there, the boxes are on the right no matter which one you load and it is only a partial of the first row of boxes. The main skills box is not really there, well.. pieces are. There are also blank grey boxes in place of where the other buttons for the default lotro skin and staggard the same way.
I log into my burg and everything is fine, looks and works great! but when I try to load it on any other toon... it throws a fit so to speak. Maybe I missed something. Hope you can help as I really do dig this skin. Thanks for making such a sensible skin Ray.

toolbar issue

Just want to say thank you for this UI, I am very new to LOTRO and even newer to mods. Yours was the first I tried and I love it. I have one small problem that I hope someone can help me with. Bar number 3 resets it's position after every logout, I do not have it checked to dock and it is set to "always seen", I'm hoping this is something silly that I'm just not seeing. Bars 1&2 stay where I want them with no issues. Any ideas?

Hey, thanks Ray. Previous version was nigh on perfect for me except the Lotro Store graphic. 2.2 solves that little problem

Hey Knatty,

You can change the buttons in your options menu -> UI settings. (see screenshot below)

http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/9...shot00107e.jpg

Also you can shift the "Normal Left" version a bit to the middle as you can see in the screenshot. To do that, read the following instructions carefully!

Change the following values in the "skindefinition.xml" file in "\My Documents\The Lord ... \Skins\Ray V2\Skindefinitions\NormalLeft\" :

<Element ID="ToolbarField" X="0" Y="&SCREENHEIGHT;" Width="&SCREENWIDTH;" Height="211" Detach="1">
Change X="0" to for example X="400" to shift the bar 400 pixels to the right.
Next, you have to change the line
<!ENTITY SCREENWIDTH "1920"> <!-- Fill in between "" your screenresolution width -->
to the value of your "screenwidth - x", in your case (1920 - 400 = 1520), so like this:
<!ENTITY SCREENWIDTH "1520"> <!-- Fill in between "" your screenresolution width -->

Just as I loaded NormalLeft, I saw a minor bug: the main menu button is floating.

While you are editing your skindefiniton.xml, change also the line

<Element ID="ToolbarButton_MainMenu" X="30" Y="0" Width="20" Height="20" />
to

<Element ID="ToolbarButton_MainMenu" X="30" Y="48" Width="20" Height="20" />

Again, this applies ONLY to the Normalleft bar.

I'll update the download file with the correct value in the skindefinition in a couple of days. Maybe someone (or I) find more bugs: then I can fix them all at once

Cheers,
Ray

Boxes and interface

Hi Ray, love the UI interface you made. just a few questions thought.

1. Is there a way to center the interface a bit more?, btw I am using normal left.

2. How do you change what the boxes access. I noticed on your screenshots that your boxes are different than the ones I have.

I really don't know much about this stuff so be easy on the noob. I alos did read the notes included. Also I am running the game in 1920x1080

I love this Ui, especially the ones with the easy-to-read buttons
(always had trouble remembering what button was what, just by looking, with the default game style)

I like that it has the all those options available, for different styles of the Ui, and that you can choose which type you want, easily,
it's really nice

V2.2 has been uploaded. This version is for US players only, until Codemasters will release F2P in Europe. When F2P is released in Europe, players can use this skin too.

- Toolbar skin has been adjusted for a symmetrical look.
- Deedlog letters have been resized in order to make them appear correct in F2P update
- Extra buttons have been added to the skins with buttons (including LOTRO store button)
- Attunement / Focus / Fervour bars have been reskinned in order to match the new symmetrical toolbar look.

If you find bugs, please report them to me so I can fix them!

Have fun with the skin

Nice, thank you for the compliment
I'm updating the skin as I'm writing this, so hang on
There has been quite some changes, so I'm trying to make everything as perfect as it was (or better!).

I hope to have a new version for the F2P update out soon!

Cheers,
Ray

Any word on the update yet? I'm so lost now lol
