I'm happy to introduce Ultra Mini-packs! Now you can have the smallest inventory possible in LOTRO. No borders, no bars, no titles, no waste! When stacked, you're presented with a single seamless non-intrusive inventory system. Note that there's no no overlap of the packs - so even stacked icon-touching-icon, there's no intrusion of one pack onto another. The dragbar for moving the packs around is no longer on top, so there's nothing between one pack and the other - it's now to the left of the pack, at the upper left.
Just extract the Ultra Mini-packs folder, and place it in your LOTRO/UI folder. Because of the XML modification, you'll need to load the game, choose the Ultra Mini-packs UI and then exit the game and reload - voila! - more real estate!
UPDATES:
1.1 - Now includes the 6th pack. Otherwise, it's no different than the previous version.
1.2 - Ultra Mini-packs have been updated to remove the magnifying glass from the background. You may now resume your previous minimalism!

Great work. This is exactly what I've wanted for the last couple of years. I integrated these changes into the SkinDefinition.xml file for BGM Blue V2.0 (my personal edit for 1440x900) and it looks great. I look forward to seeing more minimalist pieces.

Thanks!
I've got just a detail or two to finish on my 1650x1080 mini UI. I hope to release it soon!

Very cool, but I do have one question. How can I change the Skindefinition file so it puts the drag bars on top of the bags? I normally keep my bags lined up horizontal rather then vertical.
Thanks for this skin, it's nice not to have to deal with the borders anymore.

Do you want visible bars, or just invisible ones on top?

Invisible ones on top or on bottom. Don't know if that's possible though.
Thanks for the quick response.

To move the invisible dragbars back to the top, change the following three lines in each of the Backpack templates. The exact changes are marked in red.
Code:
<Element ID="BackpackView1_Template" X="805" Y="509" Width="188" Height="115">
<Element ID="BackpackDragbar" X="10" Y="0" Width="153" Height="10"> </Element>
<Element ID="Backpack_ItemList" X="10" Y="10" Width="178" Height="115"> </Element>
Note that that top Element ID is specific to Backpack #1. You'll make the same change (moving Height from 105 to 115) for the remaining Backpack View elements.
Enjoy!

Just want to say that I put this in my modified version of Dark UI (modified to get rid of all the panel/bag buttons). I have them lined up vertically so that it's just 15 rows of 5.

Is there an easy fix to make some of these UI's work for 1280 x 1024, cause I don't have the money to get a widescreen anytime soon. :-S

quick question
Could i ask how to add this to a compilation? i use bgm blue 2 and would love to have your bag mod part of it. is there a quick way to add your xml to get it to load at the same time?

It's pretty easy to integrate with another UI!
First, make sure that the UI you're using isn't already modifying the bags. Search the XML for this line:
<PanelFile ID="ID_UISkin_BackpackView1_Template">
That's the beginning of the bag modification section. There's 5 of them (BackpackView1 is just the first). Each bag has it's own PanelFile which begins like that above, and ends in </PanelFile>. Remove all 5 of those, and simply paste in the PanelFile blocks from my XML. Note that you don't want to paste in the entire XML from my mod - just the blocks that begin like the PanelFile above, and end in </PanelFile>.
If you don't find a PanelFile like the one above (or if the bags in the UI look identical to the ones from the basic UI), then all you need to do is paste those 5 PanelFile blocks into the XML of your UI. Where isn't important, as long as you're between the <opt> </opt> tags.
