Exclamation Version 3.2

This is another big upgrade adding new features and improving actions.

The main addition is map sets, where you can define a set of maps from different areas and then cycle through them to see what destinations are nearby on other maps. See the ReadMe file for details.

Another big addition is adding explorer locations for all of Gundabad and King's Gondor. More to come as I have time. You can collect 50,000 virtue experience by completing these deeds!

A handy addition is the "/lld <loc>" comment which allows you to set arbitrary destination coordinates for use with the compass. If the destination is also within the current map, it will display as a blue dot. An Area item with coordinates in the description will automatically set the Map destination.

Another handy addition is that the current Group/Area will be saved on exit and restored upon initialization.

When you change areas, the Check List and Map windows won't close if they're open. The map can now be updated without an item selected, and the map cursor label will no longer be clipped at the edge of the window.

Exclamation Version 3.0.1

This is a major upgrade with many new enhancements.

For some time, I've gotten tired of repeatedly clicking on the Heading button to update the Compass window and have been looking for a way to automate it. Lotro Lua is very restrictive on automating actions, so I had to turn to an outside script to get any auto-repeating action. I've found that AutoHotKey works well for this and integrates nicely with my plugin. See the ReadMe file for details on installation and use. With it installed and running, you can now toggle a 5-second repeated heading update to automatically refresh both the Map and Compass as you move!

I've added several new landmark collections (deeds) that include location names. To make it easier to find these on the Checklist window, you can now hold down the Shift key when clicking on the Check List button to display names(when available) instead of coordinates.

There are two Map window enhancements. You can now select a new target item by clicking on its number in the Map window. Also, the map window will now update when clicking on the Heading button (it now updates both Compass and Map windows).

The Compass window has been improved by making the directional red dot more precise instead of limiting it to the 16 marked points on the compass. Also, when the Compass is open, heading messages will no longer be displayed in the chat window as the compass info is better.

These are a lot of changes and while I tried to test them all, some things might not work quite right. Please report any problems found.

Re: Re: new Lost Lore pages

Sorry for the slow response, I didn't notice your comment until now.

The Dale-lands lore pages can be found under the Strongholds map.

No worries and thanks! Much appreciated!

Exclamation Version 2.3.6

This version has a couple of important fixes:

First, it finally fixes the problem of a Check List being reset when switching from a Done area to a partially completed area. This was a particularly annoying bug due to losing track of already-found locations.

Second, Done areas with the '*' appended to the name can now be selected in the Area menu again.

new Lost Lore pages

Hi!

Will you be adding the lost lore pages for Eryn Lasgalen and The Dale-Lands?

I don't see 'Lost Lore of the North: Elves', 'Lost Lore of the North: Dwarves' or 'Lost Lore of the North: Men' in the add-on.

Is there a way to update the add-on to add these in?

Thanks!

Clovengap seems fixed, but I still get issues when trying to load "Done" locations.

When I switch to something marked as "Done" (they have trailing * at the end of name) I get the following error

LL: Selected Mordor Besieged*
...he Rings Online\Plugins\Vinny\LostLore\LL_Window.lua:28: attempt to index local 'area' (a nil value)

When I then press [Checklist], I get this error

...he Rings Online\Plugins\Vinny\LostLore\LL_Window.lua:221: attempt to index local 'pages' (a nil value)

This happened when I downloaded 2.3.4 but happened at previous 2.3 version as well (I deleted the whole Vinny folder just in case and exported the new files)

I can safely switch to 2.2.x for example.

Exclamation Version 2.3.4

This version fixes an error with the Gundabad Clovengap map where locations were marked as N when they should have been S. It also adds a stable location and improves a note.

Im running into issues with Gundabad treasures.

I was running 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 and I've noticed Clovengap rage Gundabad Treasures was somehow missaligned: Map window would not eeven show my red dot when standing on top of chest 4 and "nearest" showed L: #1 @ 34.9n,121.4w is 74.6m N

Before making bug report, I downloaded 2.3.2

Now a lot of areas won't load - they have asterixes at the end of their area name on the dropdown. They may be / seem to be the areas I had marked as "Done"

LL: Selected Deepscrave*
...he Rings Online\Plugins\Vinny\LostLore\LL_Window.lua:28: attempt to index local 'area' (a nil value)

Clovengap Rare Gundabad Treasures loads (probably because its not marked as done), but it still mis-aligned

Edit: downloaded 2.2.5, areas load again. Clovengap remains misaligned.

Exclamation Version 2.3.2

This version adds the 6 Umbar Baharbel explorer deeds.

When clicking on the List Items button, if an area hasn't been selected, it will now list the map areas instead of telling you to select one.

The Areas menu will now mark an area that is Done by appending an '*' to the end of the name.

A logic error when removing a Done checkmark has been fixed.

Exclamation Version 2.2.5

This is a minor update with a few improvements. The main change is with the Lore Map window. The cursor text popup is now always on top. When moved over a stable icon, it will now display the stable name. Likewise, over a location with description text, that text will be displayed.

I've added the "Blooming in the Snow" deed in the Other category and I've fixed a problem that can occur when doing a Recall on an item marked as Done.

Lotro update 39

Nothing new to add with this update that I'm aware of. I'm making an incremental adjustment to a few coordinates with borderline positioning.

Thanks for the error reports. I can't believe that I forgot to test that piece of code after moving it.

Find Nearest should be back to normal now.
