Instruments

Is it possible to add information about which instruments each alt can play? My Minstrel is making guides to teach my other alts, but I'm finding it a bit of a pain to keep track of which alts need which manuals.

Just wondering... Thanks!!!

Works great but (french version) it's quite impossible to select what we want to see or not.

Even in /alt options OR /alt optionsbar, when I check or uncheck the boxes (then click on save button below), most of time it doesn"t seems to change anything.

On the main window, I can't hide the XP button (as it seems to be possible, cf. your screenshot that illustrates the presentation of the plugin).

Anyway, even if it don't look like as I wish, it still does the essential !
Hello,

The update bar function was missing, it is repaired and that will work as espected now

Thank you very much for the feed-back

Play well

Hello,

i am not familiar with windows, but what you have is typically an error that the plugins are not installed in the right folders...
and when you type a plugin command the lotro client does not reconize it

on the login page where you have all your characters, if you click on manage plugins, do you see any plugins ??

They should be in your documents folders, but not in the OnDrive documents folder

try something and let me know what happend...

just go in C:\Users\XXX\OneDrive\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins and copy all the folders you have ther into

C:\Users\XXX\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins

and i think that will solved the probleme, but i am not sur

may be ask lunarwtr if he has got any ideas about this, he his the creator and maintainer of the plugins compendium

As soon as you said to check the in-game plugin manager at the character selection screen, I realized that was where I messed up. The game defaults so that no plugins are applied to any character. I selected ALL Characters, and it works now.

It sounds as though you have simply forgotten a step.
Installing the plugins just puts all of the files to run the plugin in the correct place. You still need to load the plugins which can be done from the in-game Plugin Manager - type the chat command "/plugins manager" to open the manager. You should see a list of the plugins that you installed. Select each plugin that you wish to run automatically and then on the lower right corner, select the character(s) for which you wish them to load automatically. The next time you log in, those plugins will get automatically loaded. Or, to load a plugin manually for the current game session, simply select it in the list and click the Load button on the top left.

Most likely, this will load your plugins and their individual commands will then work. If you are not seeing any plugins in the list, then you have a problem with them not being installed correctly. If you manually select a plugin and click Load and get an error message in the chat, then you have an issue with that plugin.

When in-game I typed "/alt show" and I get the system error message that it's not a legitimate command

I installed the game itself into "E:\Program Files (x86)\StandingStoneGames\The Lord of the Rings Online"

I installed LOTRO Plugin Compendium . The configuration tab says the Plugin Insall Path is: "C:\Users\XXX\OneDrive\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins"

I do have "Turbine Examples" installed.

I read some of the above posts, and I don't see any "settings" files in the "...OneDrive\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Homeopatix" folder or subfolders

a few moments later...

I think my troubles run deeper. I also let the Compendium plugin program install Where To Play, and when i type "/WTP show", I get the same "invalid command" prompt.

So it seems my plugins are not installed properly. I'm confused now.

Hello,

it is because you need the Turbine library

You need to have the Turbine package installed

or you can download them with the Compendium plugins too they are called Turbine Examples

Re: Delete or rename account name

Hi, homeopatix! Great plugin, everything seems to be working just great.
I was wondering if it's possible to change or delete de account name (the "wrapper" for the character list) because I had a typo and it irks me every time I open the window.

You need to get into the code a bit to do it manually.

Go to your LOTRO folder > PluginData > [youraccountname] > AllServers then look for the file named 'AltHolic_Settings.plugindata. Open it using Notepad or a similar program, then look for a setting called 'nameAccount', it's towards the bottom of the file. Just change what's in the sub-setting called 'name' a bit below 'nameAccount' and you should be good.

Delete or rename account name

Hi, homeopatix! Great plugin, everything seems to be working just great.
I was wondering if it's possible to change or delete de account name (the "wrapper" for the character list) because I had a typo and it irks me every time I open the window.

Also I tried enabling the delete button, and having just one character loaded triggers this error: "\Plugins\Homeopatix\AltHolic\LoadAndSave.lua:639: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)" and doesn't delete it.

Thanks, and have fun!
