Please Help .rar files

I am interested in several of the skins, but when I download them all I get is a .rar file. Am I missing a program or something?
Thanks!!

What skins are you getting .rar files from?
As far as I know Cairenn has ask us to use .zip files, any other file type would be deleted if I'm not mistaken.

I see Daimon.
I ask because thought perhaps we are getting attack again and I was told basically to use zip file type instead of .rar and .exe type.

I don't have the accurate post of the saying but here's why we should use .zip basically.

Yea I remember the attack. I have used RAR's from day one though.

Only reason why RAR's might not be a good idea is the reason you can see on that first link. A few users might not be familiar of the external compression programs (as Windows only knows how to deal with ZIP's). This is the first time though that I have seen when someone has raised a question about it here.

RAR is as safe as ZIP can be what comes to the security. Compression method is irrelevant issue when it comes to that attack we had here way back.

If Mod's want that I go for ZIP's instead I'm fine with that. Only thing that will change for me is that the file sizes will be much bigger.

Yeah that's why I wanted to use 7-zip file type as stated on the first forum history cause UI file's are getting bigger on zip type.

Personally I don't like zip or rar type,I always like the .7z better compression ratio.

Oh well.
