A little advice

Hello,

Here are my suggestions:

I have had great expierences with EVGA using their best MOBOs and Video Cards. Great telephone support if need be. I have never had an issue with a bad EVGA product, they are always updating their drivers, keeping their products at the top. IMO EVGA is superior to MSI.

The power supply I am suggesting is much more reliable. I have an FSP PSU in a one of my rigs, been great for 1year now.

I would not worry about a liquid cooling system, you can OC your processor minimally if you like with the AMD stock cooling, or just purchase a top end Zalman Heatsink/Fan and OC a little higher. I have 2 rigs, my 1yo has AMD 4200+ that is OC to 2.95g and doesnt break a sweat, and my newer rig using an E6600 at 3.2ghz, they are both on stock cooling. A good case like the one I linked with some added fans is plenty cooling. The 500w PSU that comes with case, either use a s a paper weight or place in your old rig.You really shouldnt need to OC your system, that processor is already somewhat OC'd.

I would not worry about a Soundcard right now, and if you wait to upgrade sound later grab an Audigy4, much better and not much more money.

Where are your Harddrives?

I have 2 extreme gaming rigs that I built, and I never had prior expierences building.
My first is just over 1yo:
AMD [email protected]
DFI Lan-Party SDi-DR
2x Gskill RAM
2x 7800GTX EVGA GPUs
2x 150G Barracuda HDD 7200RPM in RAID 0
FSP 680W PSU

3DMARK06 score: 6600

MY 3 month old rig:
Intel [email protected]
EVGA 680i MOBO
4x Corsair Dominator SLi RAM
2x EVGA 8800GTXs
2x 150G Raptors 10000RPM in RAID 0
500G Seagate 7200 Media Drive
BFG 1000w PSU
Audigy4 Soundcard

3DMARK06 score: 14680

I hope this helps you some, building a personal rig is very exciting.

PS: Dont forget Arctic Silver 5 to use as your Heatsink paste.
