Autum Festival splitscreen
 

Here on the EU servers we still got the Autum-festival splitscreen

My question is:
Do you yankees allso have the splitscreen or do you have an other?

Posting here because we have "Codemasters" and not "Turbine" to support us - thus we Europeans can't use the american forum.

If you got a american account please bring this issue to the forums.


Codemasters is doing nothing to reply on our thread - and on the whole I feel that the communication / costumer-information isn't being taken seriusly.

The two best information places in the whole setup is being use for old advertising.
The first is the login-screen wich is used for an ad to buy the game. We HAVE the game, sell us something else or use it for a update countdown or something useful.
The second is that splitscreen in login-trailers. Its used for an month old announcement. Maybe there isn't anything to say, but atleast disable it then, or wish us marry yule or somehting.

That monthly DEV-talk is the only thing that closely resembles a good communication relationship, even if it acts like a advertising stunt more than real interest in the consumers thoughts. It would suit the DEV-talk to take up some more serius issues.

If what you are talking about is the splash screen, then no, we don't still have the autumn festival one. The one we have right now is Gollum in a Santa hat holding the ring in his cave.

Ok. Will you post a thread on the US forums regarding that the old world still got that old splash screen here Christmas morning.

If Turbine could please remind Codemasters, that they have a game-community to support.

this discussion is really quite pointless as the splashscreen can be edited in any way you like.

its in the directory files, find it yourself, as i cant be bothered to find out exactly where

Then I truely envy the US players.
Because here in EU we cirtanly can't mess with that splashscreen. I personally removed the short intro films (no problem) and tried to remove or alter the final splashscreen, but that can't be done here on our clients. The client simply updates the splashscreen if it finds that the file has been changed.

well im an eu player, and it didnt detect my changes

i wrote gay in big pink letters over that stupid hobbit on the splashscreen

but all in all i think you should possibly try posting on the official eu site and give those devs what for!

Hmm.. wonder why it worked for you.. what program did u use to alter the file?
did you create a new file or did you save on top of the old? (replace)

(and I allready posted on the EU forums, ofcause)
