help : every skin fails to load...

Hi, i'm a lotro player and i downloaded 4 skins and...
unpack them ok (verrified)
copy them to the appropriate location ok (verrified)
I kept the oroginal names and folder structure and I haven't
change them in any way...

Now when I start lotro and load any of the four skins
instead of the new textures i get a lot of grey boxes!!

I've got the european version, updated to 1.12.

Is this a known problem or there is some possible explanation
or is it some kind of bad installation??

The game runs perfect up to now.:D
It doesn't reinvent the wheel but what it does it does it sweet
and ...with magic! So I plan to play for a while and if there is a
game installation problem it matters. I post this here because I
believe it's not a game bug...

You went through the information in our Installation FAQ, correct?

Could you please post your exact installation path? That's usually our first step in trying to debug problems. :)

It should be:

C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\< InterfaceAFolderName >\< files >

look like I did a proper installation by the FAQ....

Hi, Cairenn!

I followed the FAQ installation procedure to the letter..
The skin installation path is as you suggest:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\< InterfaceAFolderName >\< files >

Note that I'm running a WINXP Pro sp2 GREEK installation and instead
of the words "My Documents" is the appropriate greek equivalent..
I also opened the .tga skin files and they appeared ok.

EU Lotro ver 1.12 updated last night 3-5-2007
Sorry for being such an :D but everything seems ok
except the skin appearance of course...

Hrm. I'm not sure what the problem is then. You are the second person that is having problems that is running a non-English version of Windows that has posted here. I wonder if that has something to do with it? It wouldn't make sense for that to be the problem, but stranger things have happened.

*Wanders off to find Frosty and point him to these two threads*

I'm guessing its the fact that the "My Documents" folder is written in a different language. Don't the skins look specifically for "My Documents" to be in the directory path?
