Having trouble getting plugins to work
 

i'm having trouble getting plugins to load when i load usins /plugins load <plugin name> it comes back with 2 errors

...e Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Turbine\Event.lua:58: attempt to index local 'EventInstanceMetatable' (a nil value)

and

...ord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Turbine\__init__.lua:6: Failed to import package "Turbine.Event".

anyone got any ideas pls?

Since I've re-installed the Client (after F2P being released), I've got the same Problem. :(

You do have the standard plugin library in your plugins folder?

I'm pretty sure I have the plugins. And I'm having the same problems. Only songbook works. :mad:

BTW, is LotRO offline? I can't connect to any Turbine/LotRO sites.

Are you sure you have the Updated Turbine plugins ?

They updated those some time ago

Found the answer. It's down for everyone. :(

Placing addons in another game that shall remain un-named was so much easier. Most posts/guides assume you are a programmer or near that level. I'm pretty good with changing and tweaking windows components but getting plugins to work for this game is giving me a headache. I may need to be led to water and made to drink. :eek:

Yeah but remember the LUA plugins are still in beta phase in Lotro. The support have only been there for a few months and it takes time to things develop and while they do things get easier and more/easier options came available for end users.

The other game that you're speaking of have had LUA from the start (6 years now?) as the whole UI is build on it unlike Lotro and they have had a lot of time to polish the system.
