Crafting Mat Counter

One thing, I would love!

With the higher tiers where you have one basic crafting item, but they have to be converted into multiple other items. You also need other things from the crafting vendor.

For example, I want to make 10 Scrolls of Eolringas Battle Lore.

I would highlight the recipe, and input the number I want to make. It would tell me how many Tattered Rohirric Parchments and Riddermark Leather Bound Journals that I will need to start which would be converted into the Scroll of Tactics, and Tome of War Campaigns which are necessary to make the Battle Lore.

Can this be done?

Thanks

It can be done, dunno if anyone is up for it.

In the meantime I suggest just buying stacks of mats from suppliers, I do that because gold is rarely an issue if you play regularly and you will use them anyway. A great tip here is that Tab+Click buys exactly the amount from an NPC that will fill a stack in your inventory to maximum.

Have you checked Galuhad's Crafting Companion? I don't actually use it but it sounds as though it is what you are looking for.

Exactly what is needed but its not up to date making worthless IMO.

Vinny's Cooking Reference is also a possibility but its also a bit out of date.

This isn't exactly correct. While the plugin hasn't had an update in quite a while, the implementation uses the Turbine Crafting API which allows it to still work quite well today. There are some minor issues which could be bugs in Turbine's code instead of bugs in Crafting Companion.

That said, the OP wanted a plugin that broke down a layered recipe to its basic components and Crafting Companion doesn't quite do that as far as I can tell. It knows that the recipe is layered and displays the layers, but it doesn't sum up the materials for all layers.

A clever programmer could probably modify Crafting Companion to work this way (which is the way I'd want it to work as well).
