Help with the main menu.
I am writing a new toolbar, with a much more minimal approach than before. One element I have reduced in size is the bag/mainmenu icons etc. However, this has messed up the pop-up menu.
Any idea on what I need to modify to fix this; |
I encountered the same problem. As long as they dont separate the artasset assigning between buttons and main menu icons there isn't much that can be done I'm afraid..
|
maybe instead of reducing the graphical elements you stack them counter sided and reduce the text box height... I haven't looked at the code yet so this is just a guess.
|
Cheers, Daimon. That was what I thought.
Hmm... it wasn't the icon in the start menu I was trying to alter, Reven, but this is the unfortunate side effect... |
oh I see, sorry I misread the post
|
No offence meant! Thanks for trying to help!
|
wow I forgot how restricted the UI was.
|
Yes, it's a shame - particularly not being able to do anything with the fellowship vitals.
|
I would guess they will enable more modification possibilities to the launch menu thing in next patch .. i hope at least.
when it comes to fellowship stuff that's more unlikely as it has been locked since the beginning :/ |
I know - I have read around... *sigh* But I really wish for horizontal fellowship layouts...
Is the code hidden? Like the one for the bank bags - there but not documented? That is my hope! |
probably is but for some reason they decided not to give it to us..
|
I wonder if, like the bank bags, it is logically named and can be worked out? The code itself would have to be very similar to that for the player vital frame. *Wishes he had more time to mess, or some way to decompile the game!*

This post is old but I figured I'd post my thoughts anyways.
One solution is to make the original buttons invisible, and just make them as part of the toolbar image (so the user can see them) This will then put an invisible icon in the menu..which is better than messed up icons. That is how I do my skin. |
