Making a Bottom Bar image

hi i'm trying to make a image for the bottom bar "image" i know it is to be 1024 X 85 pixels. But wat i want to do it take a picture and in some parts i want it lower and in other parts i want it higher. I also want to be able to see the game thru the lower parts like i see in some of the different ui mods ppl have made. there image is 1024 x 85 but the image is not the whole size and yo ucan see the game thru the image in the lower parts so how the hell do you do that i ahve been trying for 3 days now and can't figure it out i have adobe photoshop can you do that with it. If not then wat program so i use.

Hi Busser,

In Photoshop, you need to add an alpha channel to your image. Then, the areas you want to hide are black, and the areas you want to see are white.

i have been looking on the net for hours now. but i can't find anything out how to make it so i can draw my own stuff select my own design. not a square or circle patern. i know hwo to do it with a circle or square but i need a way to do it so i can draw my own outline of it that is good.

this might not have made sence does to me tho

Try looking through the information in this (http://www.lotrointerface.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35)thread. There are links to some good (albeit old) posts on EQInterface from when I was first learning how to make UI graphics. If I can figure it out, anyone can. ;)
