CookingRef contains a list of all known Cooking recipes, ingredients and related cooking items. It can be used to find the ingredients to make any cooked item and what cooking recipes an item can be used in. You can also search for recipes matching a partial name. The source for ingredients and recipes is shown, such as Expert Farmer or Loot.
There are commands to find the best tools and cooking scrolls for your level to maximize your critical success chance. You can check your known cooking recipes on one or more characters and then use CR on alts to see if a new recipe is needed by your cook(s) or if a given cooked item can be crafted by you. If a recipe requires a facility, you can use the "Find nearest" button to locate the closest one.
There is also a window to search through all 241 cooking recipe scrolls to find ones that haven't been learned yet. The selections can be filtered by cooking tier and the source of the recipe scroll.
Finally, it can build a shopping list of ingredients that you will need to produce a given number of an item, taking into consideration ingredients that you already have in your inventory and optionally, ingredients in your vault.
Basic commands:
/cr show (or /crw) (Opens the CookingRef window)
/cr <link> (Displays the linked item in the CookingRef window)
/cr <name> (Use the exact name instead of a link)
/cr check (Builds a list of known recipes for displaying cook's name)
/cr tool (Finds the best cooking tools for your current level)
/cr scroll (Finds the best cooking scroll for your current level)
/crf <text> (Finds all the cooking items containing <text>)
/crr (Opens the Recipe Find window)

Version 1.4.6 - Update 11
This version just adds the cooking facility at Forlaw in the new Wildermore zone added with Update 11. I was hoping for new recipes, but haven't seen any so far.

This is a minor update that adds two new bulk guild recipes that I found on the Galadhrim guild vendor. It also fixes the logic error reported by RJFerret that occurs during a Used-In search.
Note to RJFerret: Thanks for the error report, but the error was in the code logic, not in the .plugindata file, so while your deletion prevented the error, it also corrupted the configuration so you should delete the file and do the check again to rebuild it.

I'm ready to revisit this plugin and hope to have a fix soon. My main problem is that I have to many different things that I'm working on, so I have to ration my time and don't get to address things as soon as I'd like to.

I'm failing terribly at finding the string that RJFerret found, so I hope it can be fixed fairly soon. I've really fallen in love with this plugin, but the error is preventing me from finding what ingredients I have can be turned into. Makes me sad because in order to clear out my bags of all of the low level ingredients, I either have to sell them or figure it out the hard way.  Great plugin though!

I just downloaded this today, it seemed to be working fine, until I did /cr check. Now that error results when clicking "Used In".
Switching to an alt that didn't have /cr check applied, worked fine, the error/loss of functionality is only on my cook.
Ah! Looking in PluginData, I found an error, deleting the odd line permitted it to work again:

I noticed another odd line in the data too, which didn't affect this bug, such as...

This is a minor update that enhances the Used-in list. If the player has known cooking recipes, any recipes in the list that are unknown will be listed with the tier in red. This helps the player find the recipes that they can craft using the selected ingredient.
Note: All cooking items are indexed by item id, so batch guild recipes will show up as known if the item can be crafted as a crit in a known recipe, even if the guild version isn't known.

This is why they are in a common folder, so they can share the files instead of duplicating them. The routines are also shared in memory if both plugins are loaded together.

This is a minor update. I added an auto-open setting in Plugin Manager Option tab that works like it does for my other plugins to automatically open the plugin window when it loads.
I've also added support for a new plugin that I wrote called "Vinny Loader" that lets you load any of my plugins with just a single click. If it is already loaded, it will just open the plugin window (or in the case of ET, display the event list).

This update is mainly for those who have farming on a different character than their cook. It adds a button to save the farming ingredients from a shopping list or a raw-ingredients list and then use a second button to recall and display the list when farming.

This is a minor update. First it fixes a minor defect where on an ingredient list the source might show Harvest instead of Farmer. Then I added an estimated cost for farming ingredients, so when listing raw ingredients, it can display a total cost per item.
I considered making the estimated cost for each farming tier editable, but decided that it would be a lot of extra work for minimal benefit.

Version 1.3.3 (for Update 9)
This adds changes introduced in Lotro Update 9. There is now a campfire in Harwick near the crafting hall and crafting now produces regular XP in addition to crafting XP.
After much study, I was able to figure out a formula for calculating the new XP (instead of adding it for each item) and now display it in parenthesis after the craft XP. I've also updated the ReadMe file.
PS. It turns out the xp is level based, so that ruins my calculations!

Update 9
I was pleasantly surprised to find that with update 9, crafting now also produces regular XP in addition to crafting xp. I'll be adding these values into the Cooking Reference, but it will take me a few days to collect and enter all the data.

With this update I've added the locations of all the cooking facilities. When you check a recipe that requires a cooking facility, you can now use the Find nearest button to locate the closest one (however, it may not always be the quickest to get to).
I also found that campfire fits will provide a crit bonus to ANY cooking, not just trail food, so I added the crit bonus to the window. I also fixed a problem where some cooking tools weren't being recognized when dropped in the window.
