Description
Welcome to TonicBars
The concept is a Bar (quickbar) manager. It will allow you to create Bars and manage different attributes for them. To compliment traditional bars, is a new concept called Extensions. The idea though is that you select a quickslot on your main bar you want to extend. You then indicate which direction you want this bar to extend into. There is a list of predefined configurations such as: Hunter Travel, Warden Travel, LM Combat Pets, LM Cosmetic Pets, and many more.

TonicBars Can:
  • Organize skills, items, mounts, pets, and more onto Quick-Bars for easy access.
  • Automatically Manage your Classes skills to unclutter the screen
    • Stances
    • Tiered
    • Defeat Response
    • And More!
  • Trigger those bars to display under certain circumstances.
    • In-combat
    • Poisoned, Wounded, Feared, Diseased
    • Based on Class Specific Buffs!!!
    • Alt, Control, Shift Pressed
    • Health/Power Drops below some Percentage
  • Customize the Bars in terms of:
    • How many Rows / Columns of quickslots to show (aka, the size of the bar)
    • Spacing between the quickslots
    • Size of quickslots (will improve this soon)
    • Bar Background Color, Bar Opacity, Shortcut Opacity, Remove Opacity when moused over
  • Add Extensions to a bar (hide skills, but get to them Quick)
    • Display Extension when moused over
    • Display Extension when moused over & Roll up the selection to main bar
    • Randomly pick a shortcut on mouse over
    • Cycle through shortcuts on the extension on mouse over
  • Copy bars, Reset Bars, Copy the entire bar setup from another character on the same server.

TonicBars works with DragBars:
Make sure to Download and install DragBar, it's not required, but highly Recommended!!! This will make TonicBars work similar to Standard Turbine Bars (you can move windows around using the ctrl-\ command).

  • Skills can be SWAPPED like the Turbine Bars... take a skill and drag and drop it over antoher one and they will swap instead of overwrite.
  • Skills between bars can now be Swapped.

  • Removed the graphical launcher utility (the little goblet icon to launch settings)
  • To get to TonicBar Settings use: /tb or /tonicbars or use the PluginManager
  • Added "Edit Mode"
  • You can now Edit your bars when the Settings menu is NOT active.
  • When you go into settings now, the bars are not immediately highlighted. To see the highlighted bars, click "Edit Mode".
  • If you leave settings are the bars are still highlighted, you will have to go back into settings and click "Edit Mode" to turn that off.
  • This fixed many defects with Scrolling and displaying items
  • Removed Black Square when scrolling through QuickBars
  • Cleaned up code around menu panels etc.
-Should have fixed: \Plugins\Tonic\UI\MenuUtils.lua:192: attempt to compare string with number errors
-Should have fixed: \Plugins\Tonic\TonicBars\SettingsManager.lua:233: attempt to concatenate local 'barid' (a nil value)
-Fixed the extensions wrapping when horizonal and larger than 5 columns (hope I didn't re-introduce the original problem).
-When you click on a TAB at the top of a bar, it doesn't highlight the BAR in the settings anymore.

Hi,

Great add on, really helps with screen clutter. I am having a slight issue with extensions not working once they are set. After I reload the character or restart the game, the extension bar is there but the slots are all empty. Am I doing something wrong when making the settings or not getting them saved?

Nice Idea, bad implementation

I really like the idea behind this plugin, but it seems to be so riddled with bugs it's not even funny.

It forgets recently made shortcuts when you reload.
It puts the wrong shortcut in the bars sometimes. (Usually the first time you drag a shortcut to that bar, it moves and existing shortcut to that place instead of the shortcut you dragged there.)
The Options panelen is extremly slow.
When switching to the mode to mode windows around the TonicBar windows seems to use alot of processing power.


I sure would hope someone would take this idea and write a new implementation

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I got the plugin loaded up, it added some bars onto my screen, but the goblet isn't there for me to click on so I can't customize anything.

On my minstrel I cannot slot "Tale of the Elements" (tactical mitigation aura). It's the improved version of "Tale of Frost and Flame" (frost+fire mitigation aura).

I am having the same issue, even using Dragbar. Can't get Tonicbar extensions or Hugebag to the right side of the screen (max screen resolution).

Mac Issues Con't

Hey Magil,

I am having the same problem. The bar will not move towards the right side of the screen. This was also true for Hugebag, but that wasn't a huge deal for me since I have Hugebag on the left side. Hugebag works fine when you set it for the left side, but if you set it for the right, it is right in the middle of the screen.

Not sure why both plugins react this way.

The flickering icons is a Direct X issue, which may have been fixed in Update 10. (I have not seen the problem, so I can't tell.)

From the release notes:

* Effect icons and map notes should no longer flicker when running with DX10 and DX11.

Problem since Riders of Rohan update.

First of all, I love tonic bars. They unclutter your screen but still allow you to access skills/items quickly. However, since the RoR update I've noticed icons flashing on the screen when I run tonic bars. Is this a known issue?

Stretch

I have been running a modified version of Tonic Bars where the Quickslot images are stretch for a couple of weeks now, and I haven't had any problems with crashes.

Do you think it would be possible the get an "AND" option for when bars should be shown. Like being In Combat and your health is below 25%. Of course there must still be possible to use it as OR as it is now.

Help with extension bar

Hoping someone can help me with usage of extension bars. I have created a single row quickslot with 6 columns and added skills for each quickslot. I tried adding an extension bar but when I right-click the quickslot nothing happens.

Can anyone advise as to what the issue may be?

There was a reason that I had to remove that. I allowed the strectching, but it broke something and I had to remove it... I can try putting it back and see if Turbine addressed the bug. I think it was something like it was causing the Client to crash randomly... (because memory for the images wasn't getting cleaned up after they were stretched).

I have found why only the top half of the inventory config panel is showing.

The reason the quickslots don't grow bigger then 36 is that to be able to scale an image you need to use SetStretchMode(1) on it, and that must be done after everytime you update the shortcut in the quickslot. You also need to update the quickslot size after updating the shortcut. The author have started implementing it but it's not finished.
I've tried to do those changes, but there are a lots of places that needs to be changed, and I've not been able to find them all. Just hope the author will be able to solve it, because I really need quicklots to be bigger. (Running the game in 1920*1280 mode)

I also noticed that for Captains the skills "Routing Cry" (0x70002F61) and "Shadow's Lament" (0x7000FF8B) have been mixed up in the class config file. Just switch places on those hex codes to get the EasyBars working for Captains.

Button size?

The maximum button size seems to be 36, after that the spacing gets bigger, but not the button itself.
Is that a bug or WAI or is there a way I can change that?

Captain (fellow) defeat responses not triggering quick bar visibility

I don't know if this problem has been solved, so I wanted to post my question here before submitting a full ticket on the curseforge site.

Basically the triggers for the captain's enemy and fellow defeat responses are not working. The defeat response easy bar works properly, but creating a quick bar that shows only on a defeat response does not. For a while now I have been trying to figure out how to create a quick bar for the Cry of Vengeance skill, which requires the fellow defeat response (meaning a fellowship member had recently died). I've found that a quick bar set to become visible only when the fellow defeat response is active never shows up. The same seems to go for the enemy defeat response.

I've checked and rechecked, and unless I'm missing some basic principal behind the setup of the triggers, I've got the bar setup right. Has anyone else run into or solved this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
