Description
AZURE GLASS by Enfield of Landroval
v1.4.1

Latest version can be downloaded at http://www.lotrointerface.com.

[ Description ]

This interface uses the "glossy" or "glass" style to give the default LOTRO UI a cleaner and more modern look.

[ Installation Instructions ]

Extract the contents of this folder to the following location:

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\

Windows Vista:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\

You may have to create the above folders if they do not already exist.

[ Configuration ]

In order for the toolbar to be placed properly, you'll need to modify the X and Y position manually in the SkinDefinition.xml file. The line you'll need to modify is the following line:

<Element ID="ToolbarField" X="..." Y="..." Width="1024" Height="144">

The rules for calculating the values are:
X = (Resolution Width - 1024) / 2
Y = Resolution Height - 135

Example:
Your resolution is 1280x1024
X = (1280 - 1024) / 2 = 128
Y = 1024 - 135 = 889

After loading the UI for the first time, you'll have to restart your LOTRO client for everything to be positioned correctly. If you don't want to use the custom toolbar due to current limitations of the client, the old toolbar is available by simply replacing the SkinDefinition.xml with the SkinDefinition_OldToolbar.xml file.

[ Known Issues ]

These are the current known issues with the UI. Most of them are caused either from bugs in the game or limitation of the skinning system. If you find a bug not listed below, please send me a PM on the forums on www.lotrointerface.com.
  • The small Attunement gauge is cropped so part of the right half does not show
  • If locked, the Item Advancement icon on the toolbar uses the old icon image
  • The border of the selection image in the Social panel isn't quite squared away (bug submitted to Turbine)

[ Special Thanks ]

Brygard - For the inspiration to constantly improve the UI
D.H1cks - The LOTRO Skin Viewer/Editor are invaluable tools for development of UIs.
Drusan - For introducing me to this well-designed game.
Frosty - For the excellent information on UI creation.

[ What's New ]

1.4.1
- Added an Auto-Attack icon to the toolbar

Looks great, impossible to install

I have been reinstalling the UI, reediting the line for 2 hours now, still doesn't work. When I got it to work (the toolbar was finally at the right position) I didn't see the UI, it was all blue with white lines through it.

Redownloaded, it looks good now. But the toolbar is up at my vitals.

This is how the line looks now, I used your calculations since your width and height were the same as the width and height of my screen. (19")

<Element ID="ToolbarField" X="128" Y="889" Width="1280" Height="1024">

EDIT: It finally works, reedited the line again and it's no longer flying

Thank you, and...

I love this UI - its so perfect (for me anyway!) so thank you for taking the time.

I have one request, and one small issue tho, but both of which have been commented on before, I just want to reiterate

The request:
The bar box size is set atm to fit 2 bars across and 2 bars high - any chance this can be made to 3 bars high?

The issue:
My 3rd bar (so the 4th bar in total) always greys out. If I click on any of the buttons on the greyed out bar, it becomes "active" and the spell/skill casts straightaway, its almost as if the bar is hidden BEHIND the bar box itself and clicking on it brings it infront of the box (if that makes sense).

Love the UI!

Just have one small problem....the 3rd quick slot bar keeps fading. Is there a way to turn this off?

Could you extend the hotkeybar so the 4th and the 5th quickslot also fit?

You have to resize your slot bars to fit them right with the interface go to options > Ui settings UI scale and then search slot bars
I think both of us are talking about the glass pane which the hotbars fit into. Since the pane is meant for two bars across, it doesn't really work for those who stack bars up/down.

I really like this UI =) great job
-I think I would like it even more if you made a "lite" version.. I used to use Azure Glass lite but i cant find a working version anywhere =( makes me sad

--I also stack my bars on top of each other so its a bit of a waste of space on my screen to have the bar so wide.

I love the UI you've made here, but was wondering if there was a way to change the size of the hotbar area.
I stack my bars from top to bottom and so it doesn't look right/is a waste of space to have the glass area so wide.

Is it possible to resize that area?

Thanks!

I hope you guys know how to solve this , because this skin is really great
Looks like your quickslots are docked. Turn on layout mode (Ctrl-\), open up your options (Ctrl-O), click on the Quickslots button, and start deselecting the "Dock" checkboxes. You should see the quickslots become movable so you can place them in the toolbar.
